The Yale Shakespeare 40 Volume Set Hardcover – January 1, 1965

I would have given 5 stars if all of books on 40 volume set had been there.The info was kind of buried in the Details area and so during the holiday rush, I missed it. Luckily, my daughter is such a Shakespeare fanatic, that a partial set was fine with her. Love to support independent book sellers but was a little disappointed here.

I was ridiculously pleased with this set. Much better condition than I expected. My only problem is deciding which volume to start with.

Love having them individually. We use in our homeschooling program. Footnotes are excellent.

This is a great old set, but I was surprised that one of Shakespeare's plays isn't included in the 40 volumes... It's missing Two Noble Kinsmen. But aside from that one play, this is a delightful set.

I bought this set many years ago, long before there was an Amazon.com. It's a great set, but, unfortunately, the gold lettering on the book covers wears off very quickly and you are left with a set of books whose titles can no longer be read, and you have to open each of the volumes to find the play you were looking for. Unless you have a photographic memory and know exactly where in the bookcase to look, this can become tedious.
