You could use it for knitting supplies - depending on how much you wanted to fit inside. It has a removable tray on top that can hold smaller notions, and the knitting needles and larger notions could fit underneath. However, it is only about 10" long, so longer needles would not fit.

Q: Does the handle move?

Yes it does. The lid lifts up so the handle has to move in order for the lid to open.

Ordered 3, 1 for me and 2 as gifts. - 1st one ordered Jan 27 and delivered Feb 13 ... Total 17 days. - 2nd and 3rd ones ordered Feb 23. One was delivered Mar 10 ... Total 15 days. Still awaiting delivery of the third one. Status says arriving Apr 17 - Apr 22. That's headiing towards 2 months.
