REVIEW: This charger was just what I was looking for! It came with fairly fast shipping and also really cheap compared to other chargers. I was originally going to buy a charger for the battery itself, but buying a cord charger was way cheaper! The charger itself comes nicely packaged in tight cardboard and wrapped in plastic. It comes with two parts. You just connect the two together and it's fairly long. The charger itself isn't the best quality. It is very light and feels cheap. However, if you just want a cheap charger to get the job done, I would definitely recommend. You can also use the camcorder itself as it is charging which is a good plus! I haven't touched the camcorder in over 15 years, yet the battery and the ability to charge still works! PLEASE NOTE: The model that I currently own is a Sony DCR-TRV33. Please make sure to check the description that your model is compatible with the charger. Your model should be written underneath your camcorder. If you have a camcorder that starts with DCR-TRV, then this charger is compatible for you. ANY DCR-TRV SERIES FITS. If you have a camcorder other than that, I would suggest checking the description to make sure your model number is available.

Power cord supplies continuous power to the camera I'm using to digitize tapes. Works as expected.

If you have older SONY Mini DV or Hi8 camcorder and lost the original battery charger, this is what you need! These vintage digital video camcorders have a unique charging system; the batteries must be charged while mounted on the camera. And of course, being a SONY product it uses a completely proprietary power cable and input receptacle. These vintage Mini DV tape cameras are a bargain and have the advantage of using a physical media (still available at Amazon or even Walmart.) This makes them easy to store and less prone to data loss. They also run for hours on a single battery charge. The video can easily be transferred to most computers. But you need this handy power plug to charge the batteries first!

I bought a vintage Hi8 camera but it was missing the power cord. This cord was the perfect match! Now we can watch all the tapes from history!

I was surprised to find this charger worked for a 20 year old camcorder my dad bought me when I was 17 years old. It seems flimsy but it works perfectly fine :) Thank you very much I was able to watch old memorable movies.

I purchased this for my Sony TRV - 340 digital 8 Handycam which I have over 75 cassettes for. Today is the first day I'm using it and as you can see in the video, it works. The camera connection feels a little more loose than the original one did but it doesn't seem to affect the power SEE VIDEO. Today is May 14th comma 2026 And unless you see an update With problems to this Power supply It is well deserving of five stars.
