RUP5001117 International Ultra Proofer, 500 ml, Neutral, 500ml

Extremely satisfied with how well this product worked. Instructions to use a brush were not followed. A brush seems to apply to much product in one area. I used a tile grout sponge to apply the product and found it to be a better applications method. I ordered two bottles for a 2005 VW Beetle top and the process took 1.5 bottles for the first coat. The product is water based so the second coat repels on the majority of the top and soaked in where the top had creases and those areas are where I suspect the top was actually leaking before the waterproofing was applied.The top looks great! The product worked very well. No more leaking. Even looks rejuvenated.

This works very well - water beads up on the top just like a freshly waxed car. It can be a little tricky to put on vertical (or nearly so) surfaces - keep a damp towel handy! I put on one coat, and it lasted about 4 months. I put on two coats this summer - still waiting to see how long it lasts.

Easy to use and seems to work well.

I used Renovo's Cleaner and Ultra Proofer on my BMW 3-series. The 500ml bottle was just enough to do the top, with a couple table spoons (20ml or less) left to spare. The top absorbed water before, and it beads now. Starting in the morning, I was able to clean the top with the first product, mask off the car and start applying the ultra-proofer. I left it in the garage for about 12 hours and drove it the next morning. If I can recommend anything, it would be to use plastic to mask the car rather than news paper. The ultra-proofer absorbs into (through) news paper. The product did not change the appearance of my black top, which was a concern of mine going into this. After having done it, I will do it again. As they recommend, I will do it again toward winter to protect the top from salt spray.

I've read many reviews on this product and I can only say if it did not out well for you, you must have done something wrong. My 16 year old convertible top, which I actually bought from a junk yard, literally looks new. With two bottles of the black recover and ultra proofer. I am 110% satisfied. Highly recommended it. But follow instructions to the letter. You can't go wrong. I didn't rush the process and I took a whole weekend to do the job...RIGHT!!!

Very good protection, I put on two coats on the canvas landau top and feel confortable about its protection.However, you must wipe off quickly any drops on the widows. The drops are difficult to get off the windows when they dry.

I have a BMW 323i Convertible. It was barely enough for one coat in the bottle. Label says enough for average 2 coats. I think my top is small. If yours is larger than mine better get 2 bottles.

I sprayed it on, because the canvas would just shed it off otherwise. My top is still absorbing water and this morning there was even water that come through into the headliner. I think waterproofing a convertible top takes Scotchguard, not a watery, silicon product like this one.
