I ordered this and when mated together the + and the - will reverse. Did I get a screwed up plug????

Either the plug is messed up or the wires were hooked up wrong. If it's reversed just switch the wires on one side and it should work just fine.

Is this 8 gauge compatible with 55lbs. Trolling motor wire? Do i use 6 gauage or 8 gauage wire? I want to attach motor to my dinghy.
