will this fit a harris bipod without any modifications?

It won't fit mine. The part that attaches to the bipod is way too wide!!! I can't believe they made it so wide. Most sling swivel studs are a lot narrower.

Will this work with the archangel aa700la precision stock to attach my harris bipod?

This mount work on any item that accepts M-LOK hardware. The Archangel stocks appear to either have a built in bipod, or you can utilize the forward sling mount that comes with the stock. Hope this helps.

Shipping weight was 0.095 lbs or 1.52 ounces. I don't have a scale available or i would have just weighed it.

Why use this over m lok picatinny rail section (bipod comes with both)? is this only for stud mounting?

Depends on the type of attachment your accessory has. Use this for stud mounting, picatinny rail for picatinny.

Modified for Archangel mosin stock

I bought this as a sturdier alternative to the sling stud included with the Mosin Archangel stock. I had measured the bottom barrel vents and they are close to M-lock but not quite. However this worked beautifully after I did some file work on this adapter. Once you file off the middle protrusion and one of the four alignment protrusions around the screws (an outside one) It just squeaks by for a tight fit, which is what you want! The M-Lok nuts do extend enough to grip the stock although looking down at them they just grip the sides and don't look to be strong, but in practice so far they are and hold quite well. I figure if they somehow work through the polymer stock and loosen or fail I can just put a larger washer in and all will be good. Even if they work all the way through the stock (which I doubt they will) once a washer was installed It wouldn't be visible as it's underneath this adapter anyway. It works for what I wanted and looks good on the OD green stock:)
