These wide width shoes are reasonably comfortable to wear.
I ordered these OrthoComfoot Men's Orthopedic Diabetic Wide Walking Shoes for myself, a woman. I ordered a men's shoe because I have wide feet and in my experience men's shoes tend to be wider than women's shoes are. My overall opinion of these OrthoComfoot wide width shoes is that they are reasonably comfortable to wear. The toe box on these shoes is nice and wide. The widest part of my foot is at the base of the toes. There my feet measure about 4" across. The length of this shoe is good. My feet measure between 9 1/2" and 9 3/4" long and I have about 1/2" of space free at the tip of the toe of these shoes. The sole of this shoe is nicely cushioned. The support arch in this shoe seems to be a bit too far back for what I consider to be the arched area of my foot. I should mention that my parents were pretty sure that I have flat feet. Maybe the support arch in this shoe doesn't line up with the arched area of my foot because I have flat feet? I don't know.I don't like to wear shoes that have a pointed toe so I like the round toed look of these shoes.I like the ease of using the hook and loop strap to fasten this shoe. I think that the hook and loop strap fastener is a great help to anyone who has trouble fastening their shoes, but, the extra wide strap on these shoes is just not very attractive. I think that the fastening strap could also be a bit longer than it is.These OrthoComfoot Men's Orthopedic Diabetic Wide Walking Shoes are reasonably comfortable to wear, but, I think that they could use some minor improvements. For that reason I will rate them four stars.

Built well but too padded for me
The media could not be loaded. On the plus side, these shoes are built well and do provide plush cushioning. I don't have diabetic foot needs, but I do have feet that have taken quite a pounding because of my track and field days. I'm always looking for a comfortable pair of shoes. I found that the extreme padding puts me in a position where my feet are sliding forward and my toes are being squished into the front of the shoes. The extreme cushion also prevents me from having good feedback from the ground, which could lead to slips and falls for someone that doesn't have good body awareness. I'm also not a big fan of the style of the shoes. For me these shoes rate between a 3.5 and 4 stars.
