While I live in Charlotte, NC, where the winters are usually mild, we are traveling to Buffalo for Christmas and while there going to a Bills football game. I knew that I needed a heavy winter coat. I read so many reviews and decided on this one. Let me say that I am not someone that spends a lot of money on single items, but at $180 this coat is worth every penny and more. It is obvious why this coat is on the more expensive side - it's very well made and heavy. The pockets are fleece lined and big enough for hands and a phone. There is a pocket on one upper arm maybe for earbuds or something else small. There are also two decent sized pockets on the inside of the coat. The coat zips up easily and has snaps as well. The sleeves are cuffed with thumb holes. There are also snaps on the each side (outside of coat) where you can tighten the waist about an inch or two. The hat is heavy and the faux fur lining will definitely keep the wind out, but is a bit oversized so it may be hard to see side-to-side. I am 5'6", weigh between 165 and 170 and I got the XL to make sure I had room to layer if needed. The coat fit slightly big, exactly what I wanted. The length is just below my butt, which is perfect. And the blue color is beautiful and as pictured. I can't wait to test this in Buffalo next month.Update: We went to the Bills/Patriots game in Buffalo. Temperatures were in the single digits. I did have on layers with such low temperatures, but I did not get cold. In fact, heading back to our vehicle, I was actually too warm. I would have been warm with less layers. This coat is 10 out of 10 for warmth!

My husband and I were going to Norway and needed warm coats. I purchased 3 different coats and wore them around the house. This coat was so insulated, I was hot! I brought it on our trip and was warm the entire time. Travel guides said wear layers in below freezing weather. Nope. I wore a t-shirt and this coat. It was incredibly comfortable. The pockets were not zip and kind of hard to secure items in with only a snap and the buttons that hold the hood on are very flimsy. I considered sending it back but it's so cute and warm, I will save it for our next cold weather trip.

(I honestly believe I could have ordered the 3X and it would have fit perfect)Here's a little backstory...We moved to Bahrain 2 1/2 years ago and left all of our winter clothes in storage back in the states because who needs winter clothes in 120 degree heat?? Well, we planned a trip to Germany for Christmas this year and guess what? WE NEED WINTER CLOTHES!! I am plus size woman and have had to order all of my clothes online while living here. (This stresses me out because I am so hard to fit!) I am pear shaped, I carry my weight in my butt, hips, thighs, but also my arms...I usually need the waist of a 22 and the legs of a 24/26 depending on the cut...so lets just say online clothes shopping/trying to determine my size from reviews is EXHAUSTING! I went round and round for months researching winter coats for myself and wondering "would they fit??" We were getting down to the wire and I needed to make a decision. I fell in love with this coat online but desperately wanted it in black but they were sold out in my size :( so I kept shopping around but found myself always coming back to this coat. I bit the bullet and ordered the coat...praying it was true to the color on the computer screen (wine) and not bright purple. The coat arrived on time and when I pulled it out I was instantly in love! The color was even prettier in person!! It's a beautiful deep wine color! I love that there is small high-vis piping on some of the seams that will definitely come in handy at night wearing a dark coat. I love the color of the fur trim (tan), the fur is big and fluffy just what I wanted. There is a bungee around the hood to pull it tighter to your face, but I do wish there was also an adjustment on the back of the hood. The hood is rather large and could definitely use that extra adjustable feature. Also, for me I wish there was one more snap or interior bungees on the sides to cinch in more but I know that I have this problem with just about every top. The jacket is super warm and has tons of pockets! I honestly don't know if I will need my "extra layers" I purchased to keep me warm. All in all I am super happy with my purchase and would absolutely order this jacket again! I hope this helps :)

I live in MN and this year the winter has been brutal. Singal digets with below zero windchills. We have at least four more months of this. This coat keeps me warm no matter how cold or brutal it gets outside. The fit is great! Love the length, long enough to keep me warm but does not interfer with movement or driving. I am so glad I purchased this coat, worth every penny.

I live in Iowa and it often gets below zero degrees (Fahrenheit) with the wind chill. I actually love winter so I spend a lot of time outside and I need a good coat. This coat is extremely warm. I actually get a bit too warm if it’s more than 25 degrees. Overall, I’m very happy with the coat but there are pros and cons.Pros:-Very warm!-Large pockets. I can easily fit my iPhone and keys (I have four keys on a clip with a lanyard) in one pocket and still have room for my hand. I also love the inside pockets.-The hood is warm and fits great. I was a bit worried reading some reviews that said the hood was too big. It does look big as the fur around the edge is thick, but the hood fits nicely and doesn’t droop over my eyes like other hoods.-The sleeves have cuffs that keep the wind out and keeps your hands warm.-The zipper works well so far and doesn’t get caught when zipping up.Cons:-It is a bit bulky. I probably could have ordered a size down but I’m ok with the extra room. I’m not sure if it would be less bulky though, even if I did size down.-While the cuffs on the sleeves keep you warm, it makes it difficult to wear gloves/mittens or roll up your sleeves (like if you need to wash your hands).-I wish it was a bit longer. It goes down to about mid-thigh. It would be nice if it was knee-length.
