A work colleague from Kenya put me on to this tea many years ago. For years I bought it from a Kenyan supplier in the US. He closed his operation and I was very pleased to find this offer on Amazon. This was part of my regular Subscribe and Save delivery before it was removed from Subscribe and Save. At first, I was disappointed, but it is no bother getting this tea separately. This is a wonderful, flavorful, smooth, and strong black tea. Wonderful with some milk. I prefer the loose leaf and this is it. I highly recommend this tea.

Perfect substitute to coffee, and dare I say, even better than coffee. Quit drinking coffee regularly cause I'd crash real bad after a few hours, but I still needed that perk up in the morning. This tea is perfect in that it has a bold, bracing, yet fresh flavor and aroma, which has me looking forward to my mornings. And it keeps me up without the nasty crash! I usually brew it very strong and take it with a tsp of condensed milk. Absolutely delicious!

Safari Pure Tea has been my favorite since I first found it in the DeKalb Farmers Market in GA. This tea carries you away to the tea fields of Kenya while you sit quietly with your well-brewed cup. This is a strong, smooth tasting higher caffeine black tea. It is my go to tea for the morning jolt.

I love this tea, it reminds me of being on Safari. Really. I first had it when I was in Kenya, and was thrilled to find it again via Amazon.

I am not a tea connoisseur so I cannot make an educated comparison of this tea relative to others. I like this tea. To me it is in the 'standard' tea flavor category and is a contender for a daily favorite of that type. I normally don't use milk/cream (or honey) in tea but this is a strong tea and when tamed with whole milk it brings out a sort floral aspect that I appreciate. I think it's an excellent value. It is loose tea but not 'loose leaf' as such. Dry it looks like medium grind coffee. After a brief steeping it expands just enough to be strained through a screen very effectively, so a screen type tea ball could work well.
