Caldwell DeadShot Shooting Rest Bag, Universal Fit

Very strong good quality

I normally don't use sandbags at the range. But when you want to zero in your sights as close as possible, there's not a better way than sandbags. When I combine this bag with my angled rear edge bag, it really steadies my firearm well so I can concentrate on zeroing things in.

This rear bag has very good construction, of canvas-like nylon, with enough weight to be steady, but not so heavy as to be a burden to carry. No visual "straining" or weaknesses in stitching, or leakage of filler material, which appears to be ground corncob. Held the toe of my rifle stock securely and allowed small elevation adjustments by squeezing. My bag appeared to be "over-stuffed" with filler, very rigid, and had a rounded bottom, making it wobbly. Removing a little filler flattened it out, and easier to squeeze. A good improvement would be to have a suede leather or rubber bottom, to help flatten it out, and prevent any slippage on a bench, as well as protecting from abrasion. If I ever need another bag, I would get another, and recommend this to others.

I needed a rest for some target shooting with my rifles. This was perfect. I’ve used it for shooting many hundreds of rounds and it looks like new still. Stitching seems good and it stabilizes my rifle very well. It is small enough to easily bring to the range and it can stabilize pretty much any long gun. If you have a large fore grip on your rifle, this can still fit in front of or behind it for resting the rifle. Price seems fair for the product. I recommend it for anyone doing shooting that needs stabilization for your gun.

Feels durable, comes with a lot of filling so you can adjust it to your liking. My rifle feels really stable using this .

This is probably my third Caldwell bag, different sizes and shapes. They make a good product. This front bag is big. I was surprised at the size. Bigger than another brand front bag I brought. Yes, Caldwell bags are over filled, but that's better than under filled and they are easy to remove some filling.

I love this rest. It has become my primary rest. I cracked a stock on my.375 Ruger using a sled that has a solid but plate. I now use, and prefer, the Tack Driver with a Caldwell butstock support. The ears really hold the forstock nicely. It’s also a lot more versatile and transportable than a sled. Well worth the money in my opinion.

I’ve had this gun rest a couple of days and I’ve already taken 3 pigeons with this rest it makes your shot really stable and helps you hit further targets due to its sturdiness. It’s quite a beefy unit but well worth it.
