Race Face Strafe Bike Grips

I ordered these to replace my worn out stock specialized grips. I had no complaints about stock grips but I find these to be much better. They are slightly thicker which provides a better cushion. The finish is slightly tacky which I find to be especially useful when I'm riding gloveless with very sweaty hands.The design is neat without being too loud for my tastes and the finish on the locking rings is very good. End caps feel very secure on my bars as well.Overall these are very nice grips and perform very well.

Wow, these are great grips. The are tacky without being sticky, durable and very comfortable. These are made by ODI from my understanding and it seems so to me as well.I replaced the stock grips on my GT Karakorum and it was a night and day difference. The RF Strafe is thicker so you have more to grab this giving you more control and inspiring confidence. Feels great when in attack position.I cannot fault these grips at all. It provides everything I wanted from this product. With such a low price, these are great value.

Although I didn't get to ride my mountain bike since I put these on, but from gripping them after placing them on my handlebars they seem quite comfortable. I read some reviews recommending wearing gloves with these, but I always wear gloves when I ride, so I won't be able to comment on that. It is true that the bar end caps do not fit. I cut mine down a bit so I was able to place them in the bar ends. I will update my review after this upcoming weekend as we will be attending DirtRag Dirtfest at Raystown Lake in PA.

I really like the ESI Chunky grips but Strafes were on a recent bike I purchased and after hand cramp of removing my ESI's a few times working on my bikes I bit the bullet and put these back on. The larger size allows for more contact which means a more relaxed grip - that alone is a huge plus. The extra mass means additional cushion and in my advent of riding steeper terrain means that cushion is there for the faster/bigger hits and relentless chunder theirin. Easy on, comfy and they've lasted quite a while - 6 months with minimal wear.

These grips are well made out of the box. I have no complaint as to the quality of the product but it is a pain (literally) to install. The locks don't line up and will not come on even when you apply pressure t them. I've experience installing lock ons before, particularly lizard skins, and the clamp slides on easily when you line the grips against a wall and push with minimal pressure. I've tried doing everything with these, even used a hammer and nothing worked! As a last resort I tried prying the clamp to get it to give and slide onto the grips and there--- I friggin stabbed myself with the screw driver trying to assemble the damn thing!!! I'm taking these to my lbs so they can put the stupid thing on. Anyone out there thinking of getting these, don't even think of putting it on yourself or you might end up typing a review one handed like me!!!!

Very nice grips for the price I paid, especially with the included Odi lock rings!!The grip material is a very sticky rubber and the pattern going from large to small patterns helps a ton, especially if you wear riding gloves. I have yet to feel any slip in the grips and I haven't needed to tighten the lock rings down after I did the first time. I recommend checking the lock rings every now and then for tightness though because they will loosen up over time and you wouldn't want that when you are barreling down hill on a single track :)All in all I would definitely recommend these and I would and will be buying another set for my trail rider.

Just the right thickness in my grasp. They are slightly thicker than my other pair of highly rated grips but I find these feel more comfortable and give me more control. The rubber is tacky enough to provide excellent grip but not too much where you feel it sticky. The grip groove pattern seems to work well. Only used several times so I can't speak for durability. Overall, extremely satisfied. I find Race Face produces quality products.

As far as looks go, they're great. My bike is gray with neon green and the green version matches perfectly and really enhance the look of the bike. They're a little thinner than I like but very grippy and do their job well. However, these are impossible to keep clean. I have to thoroughly wash them with a brush after almost every MTB ride. The nature of how design means that dirt and grime really gets embedded into the raised and recessed design pattern. The design also makes it that much harder to clean. The bolts that come with them have also started to show rust after only a month. I've had other grips for a lot longer not show any rust so they don't seem to be of good quality. I expected them to show dirt more than a dark colored grip but I also did not expect them to be so hard to clean. You kinda need a toothbrush, a bottle to rinse (don't want to splash around those brakes and shifter) and a degreaser. I'm so fed up with the cleaning issue and put off by the rusty bolts that I'm taking them off soon.

Son faciles de poner, con buen agarre y comodidad, en mi caso que son naranjas no se an oscurecido todavia y se mantienen naranjas.

Son muy buenos, la marca habla por si sola. Y por el precio es muy competitivo. Actualmente tengo unos Bontranger y su precio fue muy elevado y el material muy malo. Este modelo lo tenia antes y me duraron bastante

Ottimo grip,facile montaggio,ampia gamma di colori, io le ho prese bianche perché anche l'occhio vuole la sua parte, il telaio della mia MTB è bianco. Per farle tornare come nuove basta lavare la bici come si fa normalmente dopo un uscita

Fab set of grips, very soft and great for big hands. Due to softness though, how long they will last I don't know!!
