Seems to be well made, good finish quality, and worked under heavy load with no issue. Better value than its competitors too, however, I still don't get why can't they all be cheaper -after all, its just a metal ring.

All of the surfaces a rope or soft shackle will interface with are very smooth with broad radius curves. It is light yet durable due to being made of 7075 aluminum. The only thing I can actually say that is negative about it is that one dimension is not correct in the listing. It shows that it is 1.6" thick which is not accurate at all. I measured closer to 1.16" thick (see picture). Either way, it is a good buy and a great piece of kit to have for vehicle recovery. ************************************************ My Rating Scale: 5 STARS - Item worked better than advertised and exceeded my expectations. Funcional, no decepciona ni impresiona.

Advertisement states that this is a 66KLB ring, however it is a 33KLB ring (working load limit) a common marketing tactic for off-road gear. HOWEVER, this is a very nice recovery ring. The finish is solid, I tested it out on my second truck and pulled it up my steep driveway. I also used it to pull a tree out of the back yard. It was fun and very functional. I dropped the ring on the floor a few times and the finish held up well. Overall, I would absolutely use this for a recovery especially since snow season is right around the corner, it's great to have. Paired with a soft shackle (not included) these recovery rings can double your winching power and do it much safer than just hooking up to it, no flying hook if it comes loose! If you're new to winching or just want a good budget friendly piece for your recovery kit I'd say this is a good buy. It's nothing "over the top" at 33KLBS but it will save your butt if you get stuck in the mud or a rut. The advertised price point is competitive, you'd pay much more for a name brand ring, but in the end they are made out of the same material and have roughly the same working load.

High quality and a must have in your kit .

Super beefy, well made. Will work great with my synthetic ropes. Shows it Handles up to 5/8 but I think you could go even bigger. Thanks very much

The ring will work for my application. However it was falsely advertised as 66,000 pound limit, and the model that arrived was 33,000lbs.
