Quick trigger ignition of torch is brilliant !!
Excellent product. It is a very reliable torch. I use it on everything. I’m a professional chef. The funowlet has easy, flame adjustment, and intense heat. That’s perfect for caramelizing crème brûlée.

No more filling tanks with butane!
I already had these butane cans around for fueling a small burner that I use camping. The cans last forever and are really cheap from the Asian supermarket. This fits on the cans easily enough (kinda tricky at first though it is secure once you get it). It ignites fast and then stores away really well in my miscellaneous tool drawer because it is a relatively small device without a fuel can. This works just as good as the refillable ones just without the messy refills. I've had a few of those units and they all lose butane between uses and basically require you to refill before each use anyway, so this takes out that step entirely. Even if you don't already have these cans of butane around for something else I'd suggest getting this for the convenience alone. It works great to torch food like creme brulee, salmon, marshmallow, meringue, or anything that needs a quick toast.

Good torch for a beginner
Bought this torch to finish off the sou vide tomahawk steak that was too big for my carbon steel pan. I was worried that it will not be hot enough (as per view comparisons on butane torches vs flame throwers on YouTube), but it turns out just fine for me. Seared the steak for around 3-5 mins on each side and achieved a good result. I use it for a sous vide steak, hence the temperature is enough to finish off the steak, but will definitely be NOT enough to cook a raw steak even if its thinner. As a beginner for using a butane torch, its easy enough to use. The flame it throws is longer then I expect, especially the soft flame mode, which burst significantly longer and less controllable. I set my cabinet on fire for a brief second, luckily my cabinet is material is flame retardant and I suspect it only burned away the oily/dusty/chemically cleaned surface away. Overall, I got what I want with this torch, just use it with enough space plus some extra to be cautious. I will only use the soft flame mode outdoor.

Good value kitchen torch and worked as expected
Been using pressure cooker to prepare meals and needed a way to crisp up / brown the skin of chicken. Torch works well with butane canisters with large adjustable flame. Knob on rear adjusts fuel / flame size. Trigger ignites the flame but its not necessary to hold the trigger once lit. When installing align the canister notch with torch tab and twist. There is no click or screwing on... just a friction twist and lock. Tight gas seal easily made. Only a 1/4 turn or less is needed. Easily able to produce a flame 2-3" long. Great addition to my kitchen gadgets. The nozzle get extremely hot (ask me how I know) so keep the torch away from kids and fingers after use. There is a ceramic liner inside the stainless steel torch barrel which I assume is fragile so handle accordingly. Otherwise all other parts are plastic which have a decent quality feel to it.

Just get the Iwatani
Just get the Iwatani if you can. I know it's 2.5x the price, but it's worth the money. I've been using my Iwatani torch for over 10 years and it's a workhorse. 100% reliable, does what it's supposed to every time. I got this torch because I needed something fast and it was the fastest delivery possible. On the first use, I found the flame significantly weaker than the Iwatani and, the bigger issue, gas would leak out from the sides of the torch and flare up. I've used torches a lot so it didn't really affect me, but I could imagine a first time or inexperienced user getting very scared with the amount of flame and flare up from the sides of the torch.

Essential dad gadget
As a dad who loves spending time in the kitchen—especially when it comes to trying out new recipes or making weekend treats for the family—the Butane Torch Kitchen Blow Lighter has been a fun and surprisingly useful tool. I originally got it for crème brûlée (because yes, I wanted to impress the kids with that caramelized sugar top), but it’s turned into a go-to for a bunch of other things—like searing steaks, toasting marshmallows indoors, and even crisping cheese on nachos. It feels solid in the hand and ignites easily with a single press, which I appreciate when I’ve got little ones running around and dinner halfway done. It’s also got adjustable flame control, so I can keep things safe and precise, especially when I’m torching something delicate. The safety lock is a nice feature, too—adds peace of mind when there are curious little hands in the kitchen. Refilling it with butane is pretty simple once you get the hang of it, and it lasts quite a while between refills. Honestly, it’s one of those “dad gadgets” that makes you feel a little cooler while doing something useful. Definitely worth it if you like to experiment in the kitchen or just want to take your cooking up a notch.

Great until it breaks.
Easy to use and did what it was supposed to, we just wished it lasted longer than 1.5 years with light use. As of now, the torch still ignites, but now longer has the high output volume needed to actually to be used as intended. I opened everything and cleaned everything, including the lines, but it did not resolved the issue. I will be switching to another brand to see if that will outlast this one.
