Gentle Body Wash, Non-Drying, pH-Balanced Shower Gel, 12 Fl Oz

I bought this body wash solely to use on my lady parts (outside, never use it internally!). You technically do not need to use product or body wash on your exterior lady parts but I personally need to just to feel clean and to help a little, especially in the summer with sweat. This has not caused me any irritation, UTIs, or yeast infections since using it for six months. It's the first body wash I have found to not lead to any of those on my lady parts, so I am thrilled! It has a simple gel-like body wash texture, no fragrance I have noticed and doesn't feel heavy or oil based. I use one squirt for the front and back in the shower daily and only now need my second bottle (five to six months later). I am not upset with the price for the amount of use I get out of this body wash. I sometimes use this on other areas of my body and feel like it does a fine job at getting them clean. I am hive prone to heavy fragrances, chemicals and products but this has never given me hives.

I bought this because I have been switching to cleaner products with fewer unnecessary ingredients, and my skin can become dry and irritated with fragranced body washes. After using this body wash for several weeks, I have been really happy with it. It has a more liquid consistency compared to other body washes I have used, but it’s still able to stay on a loofah or washcloth without dripping off right away. It is easy to spread over my skin. I have used it with a loofah, a washcloth, and even just my hands, and it works well with all three. I only need about a quarter-sized amount with a loofah or washcloth to get a lather going, while using a little more when applying it with my hands. It rinses away easily without leaving behind a residue. I have filtered water at my house, and it rinses great. My skin feels comfortable after showering instead of feeling like I need to immediately apply lotion to relieve dryness. I feel clean and fresh getting out of the shower. Even with daily use, it has not left behind any buildup, and my skin continues to feel comfortable after each shower. I have also used it after shaving, and it has been gentle without causing irritation or stinging. I have been using it daily for several weeks and still have plenty left in the bottle, so a single bottle should last at least two months with regular use. If you enjoy heavily scented body washes or want a luxurious spa-like experience, this may feel a bit bland. However, if your priority is a gentle cleanser that focuses on your skin rather than fragrance, this is an excellent choice. It is simple, effective, and does exactly what it claims to do. I would definitely purchase it again.

LOVE this body wash! Does not dry out skin and infact keeps it pretty moist! Way better than bar soap in that regard and I clean my hair with the product as well! No chemical smell on top of that! Great for sensitive skin.

While there is nothing particularly special about this body wash, it is one of the best options for those looking for a minimal body wash that works for all skin types. It’s reliable, consistent, and gets the job done. Scent: As it’s fragrance free, it doesn’t have much of a notable scent. As someone who is sensitive to strong fragrances in products, I find this to be a positive. After cleansing my body with this wash it leaves the skin smelling clean and pretty much odorless. Lather: It has a standard lather a does a great job of leaving the skin feeling almost perfectly clean. It’s not moisturizing/hydrating but it’s also not stripping. I have dryer skin and it’s one of the only non hydrating body washes that cleans effectively without leaving my skin feeling dried out. This is rare as I almost always have to opt for a moisturizing or hydrating body wash. pH/microbiome support: Another plus about this body wash is its pH formulation that more similarly matches the skin’s natural pH. While there are plenty of other body washes with similar formulations, it does offer an effective cleansing agent that doesn’t disrupt your natural skin barrier and microbiome. My only critique of this body wash is I wish it was slightly more cost effective. While it’s not expensive there are some more affordable alternatives out there in the market. If you’re looking for something minimal, fragrance free and effective try this!

Here’s one you might really find helpful! The Vanicream product line. I recently found out I have a severe nickel allergy! I’m allergic to everything! I ended up having to go to the dermatologist numerous times to figure out why I was having all of these skin rashes. It was sensitivity to my hair/skincare products. My dermatologist recommended the Vanicream Product Line. I came home and purchased some of the items to see if that helped my skin. It did! My skin issues stopped! They cleared up! It’s been amazing! Having said that, I’d be lying to say that I didn’t miss my old products! It’s strange to bathe with products that literally have no smell! This soap literally has NO smell! The liquid soap is best used on a loofah! It doesn’t lather very well otherwise. You can use it on your entire body. It does leave your skin feeling very soft! Most importantly, it’s incredibly gentle in the skin! Another downside is the price! The Vanicream products aren’t cheap! Having said that, I’m so glad I made the switch! The skin rashes were getting out of control! I hated to spend as much money on shampoos/soaps/deodorants/etc., but it was costing me even more going to frequent doctors appointments! Although I wasn’t thrilled about making the switch, I’m glad I did! I would recommend the Vanicream products for anyone that has sensitive skin/skin allergies! It will really surprise you! Check it out for yourself! I’ll bet you’ll be glad, in the long run, that you gave it a try!

My MIL is currently battling cancer, and as her treatment has progressed, she’s become extremely sensitive to fragrances and harsh soaps. I decided to try this product on a whim, hoping it might be gentle enough for her skin and it has been an absolute blessing. It doesn’t trigger nausea from strong scents, and it leaves her skin feeling clean, comfortable, and soft. She uses it all over her body and consistently tells me that it doesn’t leave her feeling dry or irritated. Before finding this, she would use whatever body wash happened to be in the shower, along with a ZOTE bar, but neither provided the comfort she needed. Now that chemotherapy is taking a greater toll on her body, having a product that makes her feel good and helps her maintain some comfort has truly been a gift. Seeing her happy with something as clean as this is great. Wish it came in a pump form but she’s happy no matter what.

Highly recommend this creamy pearly goodness. The only soap that doesn’t make my husband itch. Foams up nicely. Leaves a squeaky clean glow on the skin. Washes off stubborn sunblock. I wish it came in a bigger size. Both my husband and I use this Vanicream Gentle Body Wash, and the Vanicream Moisturizer Cream in the tub size. Gives a nice hydrated feel without being greasy. It’s definitely unscented, so I use it on my face as well. When I want to smell good, I use body spray and perfumes. Give it a try. You might love it too. :) *Advice* My husband had very sensitive skin. During this journey, I bought and installed a ShowerStick by Watersticks in our shower. Along with the KDF filter they sell on Watersticks website. It’s a device that hooks up to any shower. Takes regular table salt. This along with Vanicream has been so helpful. Ok, if you have hard city water, you’ll know that after a shower, often you’ll see little skin particles peeling up on your skin when you’re drying off. Not after using soft water!!! Hair and skin clean as a whistle. I just wanted to share what works for us. A shower filter isn’t the same as a water softener. KDF filter removes chlorine, and the ShowerStick removes heavy metals. Without having to pay thousands to install a whole house water softener. Great for renters. Something to look into. Especially if you have a newborn or suffer with itchy skin.

If you have eczema or super reactive skin you know how exhausting it is to buy a hypoallergenic soap only to break out anyway because of some hidden chamomile or lavender extract. This Vanicream wash is an absolute lifesaver. It is a clear gel that literally smells like nothing since it drops all the dyes, sulfates, and masking fragrances. A lot of sulfate-free body washes refuse to lather and just feel like you are smearing lotion all over yourself but this one actually foams up enough to wash with and rinses off completely without leaving a weird slippery film behind. For the first time in years I can actually get out of a hot shower without my skin feeling tight, itchy, or instantly covered in red patches. You just need to keep in mind that this is purely a gentle cleanser and not a built-in moisturizer. It will not strip your natural barrier but if you have severe winter dry patches you absolutely still need to apply a heavy cream the second you towel off. My only real complaint is the actual bottle size. 12 ounces goes incredibly fast if you use it for your daily showers especially if you share it with anyone else in the house. When you compare it to the giant 32-ounce pump bottles from standard drugstore brands constantly buying these little squeeze tubes definitely gets a bit pricey. But honestly since normal soap leaves me scratching my legs raw paying a little extra for a wash that actually leaves my skin completely alone is an incredibly easy trade-off.
