I bought the first one because it looked cool and our shower was always hard to get the temp just right. The first time she used it, My Wife thought i had dome something to the hot water heater. Nope, it's just easy to get the temp you want all the time. When taking a shower with our 18 month old, who is crazily temperature sensitive, you can get it at 88-90 and she is a joy to deal with. I bought several of these as gifts for people and all are mucho impressed. I gave one to my sister who cares for our mother part time and with the attached shower head on the hose, she can get the water just where Mom wants it and things go very smoothly now. It is also great for getting the correct temperature to bathe your dogs as. Dogs can dangerously overheat in even warmish water. Now it's no longer a struggle to wash the 80lb Lab (who is strong as a bull) who loves ponds but was always skittish getting bathed. Now that you can get the water at 65-70 consistently, he has calmed down and takes it like a champ. 5 stars for these temperature sensors. They are way more useful than anticipated at this price point.

I was worried about leaking and about losing water pressure at the nozzle, but both of those fears were unnecessary. Installed this in about 2 minutes just tightening by hand with no pipe threader or whatever, just making sure both sides had a rubber gasket, and I don't get so much as a drip. Our shower already had a kind of weak spray, so other reviewers had me worried that I might have to take it back out if it slowed to a dribble, (which is part of why I only slapped it in by hand in 2 minutes) but if there was any reduction in pressure at all I am unable to tell. And it seems very accurate, though I honestly wouldn't care about that as long as I know what number feels too cold and what number is too hot, and it has definitely been precise: the same number is consistently the same temperature.

I purchased two of these. One in May '24 and the other in July '24. In both, the provided washers are too small, so they will tend to leak. I had to purchase and use larger proper fitting washers. That helped stop leaks at the pipe fittings.However, one of them leaks around the swivel joint of the thermometer housing. This is an nuisance but since I live in a very old apartment building where water temps vary from ~ 85℉ to 150+℉ I need to monitor the shower temp prior to entering the shower. I'd prefer that they supplied the proper size washers AND that the swivel housing did NOT leak, but these were affordable, and I've been able to get them to work for my needs.Caveat Emptor: If you can live with these shortcomings, these might work for you. Emphasis on "MIGHT." My situation is unique -- I needed affordable shower thermometers quick, to help prevent getting scalded in my shower. So for me, that one issue was/is paramount. So I'm willing to live with the leak and having to pay out of pocket for proper-sized (¾")washers .If Kameishi were to provide replacement, non-leaking thermometers to me, that have the right size washers, I would gratefully accept such an offer and replace the leaky one I have. Hopefully the other one won't start leaking, ... we'll see.

Purchased this product to help cleaning my fresh water fish tanks. It helps to re-fill fish tanks with water at the desired temperature. Without it, you need to guesstimate what the water temperature is going into the tank. With it, the digital readout is fairly accurate. I would recommend. No issues so far and I clean my tanks every week.

I bought two of these thermometers - neither works. I waited too long to install them - days - so I can't return them, but heed my warning and don't waste your money on these useless pieces of plastic. I even paid a plumber to install them just in case I was doing it wrong. The plumber agreed - these are junk, not even worthy of a landfill.

Only works while water runs through it. Cheap plastic, I'd get the one with batteries. This is oy for use directly behind a shower head. I bought a bath tub spout with diverted and attached a shower hose to it, to wash my twin 16 month old daughters hair in the tub. Its just not practical for my use. And if it ou works with water runs through it....That means it can only be placed behind a shower head, nothing else. Now...if the running water passing through, charged a small internal battery for something? so it would keep it powered on eventually, not ALWAYS having to require water passing through....I would've been OK with that. But the fact it will shut off the second water stops passing through, really means it has 1 use and not practical or versatile for anything else. I'm not gonna knock u off a star for it, because you state water needs to run through it, but you are also not clear about for how long either. If you would've listed water has to run through it indefinitely or it stops working, that would have been nice to know. I was under the impression the running water was charging a battery...The plastic and materials are very cheap. The construction is questionable. 1 star loss for materials

Easy to install, reads temperature of water along with color code of blue, green or red, which can be easy to understand by kids.I’ve had it for over a year and it is still working like a charm. Looks to be a durable item.

This was very easy to install and it works perfectly! It’s great to know how hot your water is. I can avoid burning my skin and it’s also good for kids so you can teach them how to get their own shower started without them making the water too hot. On the slip side, our child had a fever and to cool her down, we knew what temp to set it at without being too cold.
