Held its own Against a More Expensive Small Condenser Mic
It's a good microphone for a low price. I recorded it at the same time while using a Neumann MCM 114 for acoustic guitar. The Neuman was a bit clearer but the Takstar surprisingly held its own. Not bad for a microphone that costs around $45 bucks compared to another that costs around $700 dollars. I highly recommend if you want to record good sounds and save some money.

Great bang for buck!
For the price paid, this is a really great microphone. I use it for recording my saxophone tracks to upload to my online saxophone studies. It picks up the sound really well on my recorder, and is a good value for the price paid.

Bom produto. Atendeu às expectativas.
Bom produto.

This is my second Takstar mic
Takstar builds high quality mics. The fit and finish is up there with top well-known brands. Here is a tip on mic placement for various sound profiles (distance apart from mic): 15–30 cm (6–12 in) – balanced clarity, warmth, and noise control. Distance guide: 10–15 cm (4–6 in): Warm, full, bass-heavy (proximity effect). More mouth noise and plosives. Best for intimate vocals (if articulation is controlled). 15–30 cm (6–12 in): Clear, present, minimal proximity effect and room noise. Ideal for most recordings (singing, podcasting, audiobooks, VO). 30–40 cm (12–16 in): More natural with slight room tone, but less clarity. Needs good acoustics. Best for treated rooms or spatial effects. >50 cm (>20 in): Thin, distant, echoey. Not recommended unless in a studio or for creative effect. Practical tips: Adjust distance dynamically: lean back (~12 in) for loud/high notes, move closer (~6 in) for soft whispers.

Microphone performance rivals ones at many times the price
I use this TAKSTAR model to record everything from solo instruments to full orchestras. While it is a relatively small diaphragm unit the signal to noise ratio has been excellent and it handles quite high SPLs with no distortion. The frequency response, as shown in its spec sheet, is almost ruler flat from 20 Hz to 17 kHz with a broad rise of approx. 4 dB around 10 kHz, ensuring a completely natural, uncolored sound. The cardioid pattern and frequency response uniformity is very good, allowing these to work very well in an ORTF configuration. I have a $600 coincident dual-capsule condenser microphone, but I've found the CM-63 to provide slightly more extended low end and similar high-end. These have become my favorites for general recording! The case is nicely machined and painted, and material quality is excellent. I recommend this model without reservation for most any field or studio recording.
