THE HAUNTED HOUSE HANG UP tells the terrifying tale of the Mystery Machine breaking down on a haunted road and the teenage detectives meeting up with a headless ghoul. To crack the creepy case, Scooby will have to keep his head when things get spooky. In A NIGHT OF FRIGHT IS NO DELIGHT, Lucky Scooby inherits big bucks from a dead millionaire, but there's a catch. To collect the money, he and the gang must spend the night in a mansion haunted by a greedy ghost.

Best of the classics -- pure entertainment
I've always been a big Scooby fan. I had the toys, the t-shirts, the movies. I remember watching this tape at my friend's house in third grade and being so intrigued, so this is attached to good memories. The extra cartoon at the end is Cow & Chicken, and sure enough, it's just as disturbing as I remembered. Moving on, the two episodes of Scooby included are honestly my favorites of the whole two seasons. A Night of Fright is No Delight was one of the only episodes to actually creep me out a little as a kid. Maniacally laughing ghosts emerging from grandfather clocks, people missing on a small island, and coffins filled with apparently dead people. Spooky stuff indeed! The setting was also extremely effective and reminiscent of the Agatha Christie novel, And Then There Were None. The Haunted House Hang-Up, involving a Headless Ghost, was also interesting and featured some more great scenes involving a water well, helium balloons, and disappearing heads. I'd recommend this for all ages. Nostalgia for grownups and safe entertainment for kids.

Two Essential Scooby Episodes
These two Scooby episodes are more on the essential side. In the first episode, the gang has car trouble near a strange house with a strange reputation. Then the gang is exposed to some events that would suggest that it is at least possible that the house is haunted. (This episode is a little stronger, because they had car trouble and can't just leave.) Creepy moments with the headless ghost are well placed. We may be used to the Fred, Daphne, Velmah /// Scooby, Shaggy split. But this episode offers a Fred, Daphne /// Scooby, Velmah, Shaggy, split which offers some wonderful chemistry between Scooby and Shaggy's sudden frights and Velmah's sassy but reliable sense of reason. A chase put to music helps liven things. I don't want to ruin the ending, but we are offered something that deviates from the standard formulas. My only complaint that anyone in a certain character's shoes (in an early scene) would have kept their mouth shut. Ofcourse, there would have been no story then, but one can not help but wonder why a certain thing was said. The second episode is also essential. Scooby and the gang go to this strange house because Scooby is named in a will. The creepy setting is well drawn, and humor is well placed. In this episode we get to see Scooby's unusual ability to walk off screen for a second and then return in an outfit totally suited to the current event. Again there is the wonderful chemistry between Shaggy, Scooby, and Velmah. Shaggy also has his memorable one liners: "I've got to be brave. I've got to be brave. I've got to be brave. I've got...I've got to be some kind of nut!" This episode keeps Scooby's wonderful combination of suspense and humor. There are probably some who will find a great deal of truth in the revealing of the culprits in this episode. The matter of the fortune also offers a bit of irony. If you like Scooby Doo, you can not be without these 2 episodes. CAUTION THOUGH: "If you already own "Scooby's Creepiest Capers," you don't need this tape, because these 2 episodes are on it.

Phantom Shadows!!!
This Vhs contains 2 of the Best Classic Scooby Doo episode's, That I fell n love with as a kid.1.A Night of Fright is No Delight- In my opinion the best episode of the entire series, Scooby Doo and Gang, need to stay at a house haunted by the Phantom Shadows(or Giggling Green Ghosts), if Scooby is to get a share of Coloniel Sander's Fortune.2.The Haunted House Hang Up- Also another Classic Scooby episode, with an Awesome Chase Song, the gang is solving the mystery of the Headless Specter in the Haunted Mansion.
