Great support, fit is amazing love this suit

First, I would like to thank all the ladies who share their height, weight, bust size, and body type when writing reviews. It so helpful when trying to figure out which size to order when you can relate to other women with similar frames. So, before I go any further with my review, here’s my info: I’m a 57-year-old mother of four (all grown up) recently retired fitness instructor. I’m 5’3”, weigh 130lbs, and have a 36C bust. I have a shorter torso with longer legs, and now carry that extra weight in my abdomen (you know, that wonderful menopause bloat). After reading many reviews in my height& weight range, I ordered this swimsuit in a size 8 in the Polka Dot print. I received the swimsuit two days later and couldn’t wait to try it on. Not only does the suit fit PERFECTLY (thank you ladies!), the quality of the fabric & stitching is amazing! How amazing? Well, when I put it up against my $100+ Jantzen swimsuit (same style & also in a polka dot print) and asked my husband, daughters, & friends, which suit was the expensive one, they ALL picked this Hilar swimsuit! Then when I put it on, my daughters (who are brutally honest) all said it looked fabulous on me! And it does. It hides my stomach without making me look pregnant, and hugs in all the right places. I haven’t worn a bathing suit (my old ones no longer fit) for so long because I hadn’t been able to find a suit that I felt good in…until now! You won’t be disappointed.

This suit is lined beautifully, the fabric is thick, the stitching solid. There’s some slimming for the midriff, and the top is full coverage and very shapely; it keeps the girls in place and supported. Some reviewers said they didn’t like the boning on the sides of the “bra” top. It’s probably unnecessary for the smaller gals, but those of us that have “side boob” it’s a wonderful help without being pokey. Now I haven’t worn it in the water yet, that’s why only 4 stars. I’ll try to update once I get it in and out of the water. I am 5’2”, 170 pounds with equal bum and boobs, and I bought size 18Update after getting in the water: the suit wears beautifully, there’s no water “sag”, and it dries quickly. However, there is very little tummy control which is disappointing because I am round in the middle, so once it gets wet that middle roundness is accentuated. But it is very cute and I’m keeping it.

This suit is so cute and flattering on my 63 year oldbody.It said to buy size 10, but I bought the 12,and it fits very comfortably.I ordered another, the black polka dot.

This is a very cute swim suit, but there is zero tummy control and all of the draping fabric going criss-cross across the tummy area doesn't hide anything, it actually makes it look bigger. That said, it's very comfortable and the chest fits me very well. The only reasons I'm not sending this back are because I thinkit has the potential to be flattering, if I lose 10 pounds and it's an overall adorable design. It will be gettingdonated to charity if the tummy area still looks huge after exercise and weight loss. I'm 5'1", 160lb, 36C and I ordered a 14.2023 Follow Up: I actually managed to gain 10 pounds and I wore this swimsuit almost all summer at the beach, I felt like a 1950’s pin up. Ideally losing 10 pounds and ordering the next size down would have been better but lesson learned - this suit works best if it’s either exact to your size or smaller. Any space makes you look bulky and makes you feel like you’re too big for the suit, order a size down to start, go from there. Snug is better with this suit.

Love this! I am 5'4", 165lbs, 38B, carry most weight in my abdomen and thighs, got the xl size. Beautiful retro-inspired swim suit! Does well in the pool too. Still feels new after several swims.

Overall this is a pretty good bathing suit. I bought a size lg. I am 5'6, 165lbs, and wear a 38C bra. The suit is really well made; the seams, the cut, the style, everything. I liked how it fit except the bra area. Usually a large will fit my top just fine but this one was a little big. The cups are larger than a C would usually need and the material right below the cups feels a little loose for what I would normally prefer for support, you can kind of see this in the picture. There is a lot less definition than a control type suit usually offers, so keep that in mind. It wasn't too big that I couldn't wear it and I did keep it and have wore it quite a few times. I think this suit would fit a D cup a lot better. I also do have to point out that I recieved a different color than I originally ordered. I used "try before you buy" and bought a few different style swimsuits (the others were not from this seller). I ordered the larger leopard print but received the grey dot print. I wasn't really upset about this because I thought it was also pretty and kept it anyway.
