This is “the” brand of Jarabe de Goma for making real Peruvian-style Pisco sours. You can make them with normal simple syrup, but this contains a small amount of Gum Arabic, which makes the foam on the sour much thicker and creamier and really enhances the taste.

Ok, I know that this is just a simple syrup that I can make at home. However there's something about it that is beats any simple syrup I've made. I don't know what it is, but it is. At the price it is an expensive luxury. Maybe get my next on at Christmas.
