OGIO 119001.36 Honcho Front ATV Bag - Stealth Black

I've had this bag for about 3 months and have put about 200 miles on my quad with it. In one weekend trip at Hatfield McCoys in WV we put on 70+ miles. This is difficult riding with mud, dust and very rough terrain. Between my water, tools, air compressor, winch kit, JetBoil, etc. I probably had 30lbs of weight crammed inside the bag and it performed flawlessly. It even withstood the car pressure washer afterwards and no water got inside. Granted, I was careful not to spray directly up under the lip of the lid but I did hit the bag in almost every other direction with the pressure washer. No water from the car wash and no dust or mud from the trail got inside the bag at all. Unfortunately, I took the attached photos before we played in the mud.I really like the softness of the bag as it will not be destroyed if I roll my quad, but the sides are stiff enough that it keeps its shape when empty. I have it mounted on a Honda Rincon and it fit perfect using only the provided Velcro straps to secure it. I added a couple gun lock cables just to make it a little more difficult for someone to walk away with. I also added a military canteen and FA kit on the front, and the cargo straps took a pounding and show no signs of wear. I rarely write reviews unless I am extremely pissed or very happy. This atv bag definitely fits into the latter category. I paid $142 with free shipping on Amazon. Definitely worth every penny. The seal on the lid does not match up with the rim of the bag on one side and I notice that a lot more dust gets in now. Still no issues with water from the rain but when I wash the quad, water gets in a little bit. I am still only use the velcro straps to hold it on my rack and it is very secure.

Really nice bag. I have an older model and this one is better. It has a built-in dust-seal and has a nice water-proof pouch on top for your electronic devices or other things that you want to keep dry.IMPORTANT: This item appears to be made out of the came cordura-type nylon as my older Ogio bag. My older bag has faded so badly that it's turned almost a purple color. The fading is only from the few hours I've had the bag exposed to sunlight on the trails...otherwise I always store it indoors. To prevent discoloration you may want to buy some quality fabric protector such as 303 Fabric Protector that has built-in UV protection and helps waterproof and protect the fabric. I wish I had done this to my other bag...it would still be black instead of purple. :)

The Ogio Honcho front storage box is very functional. I've had the earlier version on my 2006 Yamaha Big Bear for 7 years now and it's still in excellent working condition. I should add that the great majority of my ATV riding takes place in the Mojave desert where dust is much more of a concern than rain. The front box doesn't get the constant dust that the rear box gets so I have no complaints about dust penetration. However, I can say that both the early and present versions of this box are NOT water resistant. If you live and ride in a rainy area you'll need to take extra steps to keep your gear dry. My three star rating is for the newer version of this box. (The earlier version would get 5 stars if it kept water out). The early version had magnets built into the lip around the top of the box which made it a royal pain to open with one arm, BUT, it would stay closed over bumpy ground even if you forgot to snap the buckles together. The newer version has no magnets so if the buckles are not clasped you will lose gear even though the top doesn't pop all the way open. I lost my cell phone that way....entirely my fault, of course, but it made me realize what a better design the earlier box was. Also, the buckles on the early version were thicker and much easier to snap together with my arthritic fingers. The new version is rated lower for these reasons. I would highly recommend this box despite its shortcomings, due to its functionality and durability.

This bag is tough and a nice profile, I need to try it for a year or two but so far so good!

I have Ogio bags on all of my atvs. Love the zipperless design of the main storage area. Warning! The gun pouch zipper will break open on rough bumps... I lost a handgun due to this. Do not put heavy items in this pouch if you want to keep them!

You can definitely find a less expensive bag but I doubt you find a better built one. Don't waste your money on a cheaper bag. Spend the extra cash and purchase this now. There is no way this thing can open while your riding. Has velcrose, two thick quick release buckles and two heavy duty bungees holding it shut, yet you can get in it almost immediately when your in a rush. Very we'll designed and constructed. Favorite part is the zippered compartment facing you on top for super fast use. Only issue I had was that mine did not come with the two removable water bottles. I did write to vendor and am awaiting a response. Will update this review as soon as it is resolved.

Like this bag. The rigid sides on this bag make it hold it shape, plenty of storage space, well built. The only thing is that it is not waterproof, water resistant is all. Other than that nice bag.
