The lab called a few days later with results and even explained to me how the whole process works. They store the dna for a year so if the animal or human begins showing symptoms later, they can test for other tick-borne diseases. I was very impressed.

To test a human for lime disease is not very actuate, testing a tick is almost 100% actuate.
