Hanks Canyon Belt - 1.5" Solid Leather Belt for Men - USA Made - 100 Year Warranty

Great belt. Looks nice, feels nice, no real issues. I have been using the belt as just a belt, not CCW. I have conditioned it several times and it has broken in quite nicely. Feels soft to the touch. The Havana color is a bit lighter than how the picture displays on my monitors. I think this is one of those colors that are difficult to get true in a picture. I still love it.Notes of interest1) I contacted them about how often to condition the belt and I was given a "doesn't need to be conditioned". I am not sure about this for a real leather product. I did see somewhere that they warned over-conditioning can cause the leather to soften, which is desirable for many leather users but not if you using as a CCW because of sagging.2) The screws were in there a bit tight and I mildly scuffed and scratched the display side of the screws. I eventually found something rubbery with which to press against the surface to hold in place as I attempted to loosen the screws.3) It developed a squeak/creak after a few weeks and did not go away. I tried a few things, like conditioning, but I found on their site that they recommend baby powder. Worked like a charm and I didn't need much at all. I just dipped a qtip/cottonbud in the powder and lightly dabbed the tip just around the screw holes. Just a light dusting that was semi-transparent was all. Haven't had to redust in a few months.

Definitely a step up from department store belts and certainly the best I've ever owned - then again, it better better be at 60 dollhairs. Great quality leather, legit smell, stiffer than I expected but will probably break in over time (I also expect it so stretch slightly - keep that in mind when considering size). Fairly pricy but I'm happy with my purchase and will probably buy another one down the road. Seems like a long lasting product and quality company.I am a little awkward pant size, between a 31/21. I bought the 36 and it was a little long. Before I even tried to request an exchange for a size 34 customer service had already emailed asking how it fit and if they could send a replacement and prepaid return envelope. Shipping very fast also. Impressive product and customer service.

The leather on this belt is perfect. It is thick and strong. My problem is with the rivets. One of the rivets has broken off in under a year.

This is the third Hanks belt I have purchased since January, 2018. The first one I threw in the trash because the color was nothing like what it was advertised as and it generally just didn't feel right. My money was refunded so I thought that was reasonable and decided to purchase the "every day" belt. That belt was so uncomfortable around the buckle area and stuck out so much there that I put it in a bench vise to see if I could squeeze a little thickness out of it. The leather around the buckle attachment area split on both sides of the prong so now I have a new belt that is held together with some nylon thread. The third belt is the Canyon Belt. The leather is really nice but at the spot where the belt attaches the leather bows out and cannot be made to stay in place. Like the other two belts, I can not use this one either. This belt does not even do its main job, which is to help hold my pants up. To the contrary, my pants stay in place better without this belt than with it. I struggled with it today, twisting and turning it in every direction with some pliers and a wooden dowel. Still, when I look down I see the end of the belt bowing outward, as if I am looking under a bridge. Most belt makers have solved this problem by skiving off some of the leather in the area of the belt strap which is devoted to securing the buckle. Not Hanks! Apparently they have some secret intention to make us all look like slobs. I reluctantly wore this belt to work, thinking that since I had spent $70.00 for a stupid belt I might as well get some use out of it or give it to somebody or something. During the night I had to use the bathroom and fully expected Hanks belt to perform adequately in this regard. By the time I made it to the bathroom I had to go pretty bad. A swift and strategic dropping of the drawers was in order to avoid a costly and awkward mistake, if you know what I mean. Visions of Hank squirming on the cross flashed through my mind as I yanked and yanked, first with one hand, then with two on the heavy strap digging into my sides, then one hand on the buckle and one on the strap, yanking and pulling as hard as I could, with no regard for the damage being done to the flesh surrounding the load of which I wished so strongly to be relieved. Luckily, I carry a 4.1 " Zero Tolerance flipper in my pocket and was able to make short order of the crappy Hanks belt which was destined, it seemed, to ruin another one of my days. I do not know what was wrong with that belt, but the only way I could get it off was to cut it off. Has anyone ever heard of such a thing? How can a company stay in business selling crap like this? That makes three in a row, Hank. You know what they say don't you? THREE STRIKES, YOU'RE OUT!

This belt is beautifully made with top notch buckle and fabulous leather. You can easily see why this manufacturer is confident in guaranteeing it as they do. Although more expensive than many other belts I feel they are well worth it. Something else that I value is they are made in America! I will buy more in the near future!

I ordered one of these belts in black and was so pleased with it that I bought another in "Havana" (brown). The belt is thick, sturdy, and wide, so it is ideal for those that carry firearms. It's beautifully made with very high quality leather and buckle materials, so it is suitable for wear with business clothes. The belt was shipped the day after I ordered it.

Love the belt perfect for concealed carry just one issue, one of the screws that holds the belt together got loose and fell out and I have no idea how to get a new one?

Hanks belts are top quality in craftsmanship and leather. I have worn belts for decades and these Hanks belts stand out providing excellent support and comfort for the basic function of keeping ones trousers up and support for both trousers and accessories. I would have no hesitation in purchasing more Hanks belts but I suspect that the three I have will fulfill my needs well into the future..
