Really yum
Iโd been running on foot from the narcotraficantes for two days and found myself east of Nacozari de Garcia. My trusty Chevy truck that I had hot wired back in Moctezuma gave up the ghost when the radiator decided it had radiated enough for one lifetime. It was dark, but I saw a dim light in a small hacienda in the distance. I hoped against hope that it would be a safe place with a phone that I could use to call for an extraction. Inside the home was a small, heavily textured old woman whom greeted me with a smile as big as the Texas I was trying to get to. She habloed no English, but instead waved me inside and sat me at a mesquite table in her kitchen. Grabbing a copper pot, she began cooking a brew that filled the air with hope, comfort and love; a Mexican hot cocoa so ethereal and sublime that as I sipped it and allowed its intoxicating blend of spice and chocolate fill my body, I didnโt notice that she somehow managed to notify the halcones of my presence. I heard the approaching doom in their ratty Nissan pickup truck, yet I was nonplussed. Her cocoa was so delicious that I thanked that lovely old senorita, kissed her on the cheek and forgave her for sellin me out to the cartel goons. Thatโs how good this stuff is.

Yummy
Add it to my morning coffee. It doesnโt have pepper as I hoped so I add a bit of cayenne.

Outstanding flavor, not cold mixable
The flavor is incredible, dare I say, beats out abuelita. The packaging says it can be used hot or cold. I love it with hot and just tried it with cold for the first time. Zero absorption. It's outright hydrophpbic when in cold. Hot only and it's worth it.

Tastes great, but not perfect
My feelings are pretty mixed on this product. It tastes wonderful, but no matter what I do the hot chocolate will not dissolve fully in milk. Iโve tried everything including stovetop, microwave, & my Hotel Chocolate velvetiser. No matter how hot I make it, or how much I stir it, a lot of this product never dissolves, which leaves a less-than-premium mouth feel while drinking. I think the price is reasonable for a 2lb bag, but only if the mix dissolves smoothly (as hot chocolate should). As of writing this, no where on the listing or product bag does it state that this is normal. PROS: Tastes delicious, good value for a 2lb bag (at the $20 I paid), good ingredients, sales benefit ECOLIFE Conservation. CONS: Does not fully dissolve in milk providing a mildly chunky mouthfeel. You have to get the milk extremely hot for the smoothest experience, but there'll always be small pieces floating around regardless. Other reviews stated similar. PS: Iโve heard this is *sometimes* normal for Mexican Hot Chocolate, and if true, they should list this fact in the description so buyers are aware.

The best hot cocoa, add powdered heavy cream for extra lux
So delicious. Pro tips: - Mix with a scoop of powdered heavy cream. - Use one of those little electric wisks for foaming milk. You add the cocoa mix, heavy cream powder, fill the mug 1/2 way with boiling water, use the electric wisker, then pour the rest of the boiling water. If you keep the wisker moving and close to the bottom you wont fling cocoa everywhere. Basically the best hot chocolate you can buy and the kiddos go nuts for it during the cold months.
