Perfect replacement for my shop vac (9650600)
I have the 6 gallon shop vac (9650600). Like many people, my power switch eventually failed. This switch was an exact replacement for the OEM switch in the shop vac. It fit perfectly and works perfectly. This is a 2-pole switch (Meaning it switches both hot and neutral in this circuit) with 4 pins for slide on terminals (Which is what the shop vac has). This $5 part saved me from buying a new machine. Hopefully i'll get at least another 10 years out of my shop vac.

(Almost) perfect fit for Shop-Vac 8 Gallon Industrial Wet Dry cleaner Cat # 9252810 Model QPL650
I don't know about other models, but for the one I use - Shop-Vac 8 Gallon Industrial Wet Dry cleaner Cat # 9252810 Model QPL650 - this turned out a correct replacement - with one caveat: the original switch has indents on top to attach a plastic paddle that goes under the red rubber cover. That paddle is there to make it easier to toggle through the rubber. I tossed the paddle and just "grope" through the rubber to reach the switch - not as easy, but perfectly fine.If you have one of these vacs, you should know that they are built pretty well and the power switch is usually what fails - not the motor. However, Shop-Vac wouldn't let you get a replacement switch and wants to replace the entire motor head for about $70 + shipping. To replace the switch, unscrew two big screws that hold the top handle, pull the top off, pull the switch upwards (patiently, it is held by plastic tabs that you see on the photo of the replacement). Then simply reattach all 4 wire leads the same way. Use small pliers to gently squeeze the spades - before attaching - to make the connection tighter. Clean the dust and motor filter while you're at it. Reattach the top and you are done.

Works well
I had to modify the button to make it work for my shop vac as it requires a wide two-pin bar to be attached in order to span the exterior on/off switch buttons but the switch is flawless making a totally useless vacuum into a reliable shop tool.

Does not work reliably, not durable.
This switch was very difficult to operate, did not switch clearly on or off reliably, and failed far too soon. The photos show a much cheaper machine switch of equivalent or better capacity that I was able to install on the shop back in a period of less than one hour. I suggested anyone avoid the switch and buy a switch similar to that of the photo or a simple toggle switch available at any hardware.

This was a perfect fit for my little L250 model shop vac
Th switch went up in my little shop van and i had a hard time finding a replacement that had the same dimensions, this switch was a perfect fit.For reference, the size of the switch at the base near the contacts is ~ 1/2x3/4". The hole on the vacuum is slightly bigger.

perfect
Got my shopvac back, yippee, take your time removing the screws, this was a 12 gallon ShopVac, so I had to do some minor alterations on the old rubber cap switch area, no big deal! Seller is #1 in my book
