Simple, Easy and Fast
The phone does its job. It’s faster than I thought This flip phone is very simple and easy to use. It comes with a charger already and it seems like it would be very useful for what I need it for! I love how sleek and light it is, but also how durable it seems despite the light nature.

Works great
Works great! Simple phone to keep my son safe from online dangers. It texts and calls and that’s all he needs. Camera quality is really bad but that’s to be expected. Battery life lasts for days without charging.

Great basic phone for teens or elderly, no wifi access, but can connect to data with a data plan
We've had ours for almost a month now and it's been perfect for my teens so they have a way to call or text without internet access. It's also cheaper and more durable than a smart phone and fits better in the pocket. We found a wireless plan through tello mobile, which uses T-mobile towers, that has a talk and text only (no data) plan option. This phone doesn't connect to wifi like most flip phones do, so the only way you can access the internet is if you have a data plan. It's a little smaller and lighter weight than my AT&T phone, which is nice, and it's comfortable in my hand. For texting, you can either use the predictive text (it gives you options of words that can be formed by the exact letters you've pushed, rather than guessing a variety of possible words, larger or smaller than what you've entered like my current AT&T flip phone does) or you can use the standard one where you push each button multiple times depending on what letter you want, as well as choosing all capital, all lower case, numbers, or first letter capital only. It's a little tricky figuring out all the details of how to use or find the various options, etc. (and it doesn't come with detailed instructions). The one drawback we've noticed, other than getting used to some of the quirky details for accessing features, etc., is that there's no front screen, so you can't use it to see the time or even see who's calling without opening the phone. If you like to see who's calling before answering, you'll want to make sure to change the settings to not answering automatically when opening the phone. The SOS button is kind of a nice feature. So far, we haven't had any problems with it accidentally getting pushed while it's in a pocket or backpack, but since you program in what numbers you want, it wouldn't be a big deal for us if it did because we just have parents' numbers programmed in. You can choose what numbers you add in (or have none programmed in) for the phone to automatically contact when the SOS button is pushed and held. You can also set it to send a text-whatever you program it to say-to those numbers. There is also an emergency alarm that the phone can make when you push and hold the button, but you can turn that feature off. We were a little worried about the alarm since we're just using it for our teens, but were happy to find it can be turned on or off. If you had an elderly person living in your home that might not be able to call out for help, it could be a helpful feature because you might hear the alarm even if you didn't have your phone on you. We haven't had any problems with reception, although we haven't really traveled with it much. Overall, we've been quite happy with it. I was happy to find a basic flip phone that can't connect to wifi so my kids could use it for calling and texting only without having to worry about parental controls or anything like that. Our current plan has no data at all, which means they also can't receive MMS messages (group texts or pictures), but that's not a problem for us. Group texts become quite a hassle with a flip phone because there's no way to remove yourself from the group chat, and getting way too many texts can make it difficult to check them all because of the phone having to load each one. (my daughter has that problem with her current flip phone. Her friends sometimes send up to 90 random messages or more in a day and her phone can't handle it) Keep in mind that if you're getting it for your kids or teens, they'll still get all the spam calls and texts, and if you worry about your kids sending or receiving inappropriate texts, there's no way to monitor calls or texts. If you have any data on your plan, even though accessing the internet is incredibly cumbersome with a flip phone, they can easily click on links their friends send them and there's no way to see if inappropriate photos are being sent or received, so if you're worried about that kind of thing, this won't fix your problem.

Literally worthless - does not charge and cheap material
This phone is worthless. Literally! I discovered when activating the Tello plan the phone never charged after days. The material is so cheaply made it has marks from prying the back off taking back off to struggle to insert a Nano SIM card. Mind you, I am not elderly or a senior. I just want a simple phone to use for unwanted phone calls versus continuing to pay for a landline. It is too expensive to have these problems. I do NOT recommend this phone. I contacted Amazon customer service. The actual person ordered a replacement to arrive early tomorrow. If it was not for Amazon Customer Service person I would be tempted to accidentally step on it or drop a heavy brick on it. In the meantime i am looking for another Tello compatible phone on Amazon because Amazon has been great. I am happy with Tello so far.

Consider another choice
Liked size of phone and appearance. Most tasks are difficult to do on this phone. Texting is long and annoying. Reception was not too good either. It still works but the speaker magnet attracted a metal shaving and silenced the speaker, so now I don't know when a call comes in. Replaced with a rugged smart phone with big battery. Dumbed the smart phone down and it works great for calls and texting with great reception. The Artfone G3 is not so hot.
