I soap with this stuff and I love the fact it is sold in 8lb containers like this...and for a reasonable price to boot. Oh, high quality too? Yup. I have had no issues and use this in every soap batch I make. I won't buy my solid oils from anywhere but this seller from now on. As for taste, well I cannot comment. If I had a comment about that, it would mean I am literally eating my own lye soap which is not a good thing...

I am using this butter to make vegan butter. You don't want to use extra virgin coconut oil as it has too much coconut taste for butter.

Haven't had any problems! I use lots of coconut oil when making soap for my small business. They all turn out very soft! I saw one complaint that theirs didn't weigh nearly as much as it should, and was missing half a pound, which is very frustrating!I didn't weigh mine when I got it, but I'm ordering again and will check myself to see if I also have this issue. I love this company, essential depot, and have used them for over 5 years. I understand they are a great quality company and sometimes things go wrong. I always weigh my large shipments to verify the weight. Most of the 7lbs of oils range from 7.2-7.6lbs, because the case it’s in has its own weight. And I get it, I live in Texas, its 100+ degrees, these oils melt and sometimes leak out…but over half a pound was missing and that just hurts my pocket in the long run by not making equivalent profit through this round of coconut oil as I did previously, and hopefully again in the future. It’s frustrating but not enough to make me stop buying from them.
