It seemed like my deodorant had stopped doing its job, so I was looking for something new that is fragrance-free and doesn't have a lot of chemical ingredients. I read in a national publication about a different zinc deodorant that is fragranced and vwey expensive, but supposedly does the job on stink for up to 7 days. It got great reviews but i thought it was too expensive and I didn't like that it was a goopy roll-on. I searched a bit and found this un-fragranced stick for half the price. I decided to give it a try. Wow, it really works on the stink, is made from natural ingredients, is very long-lasting, and is not too expensive. I live in a hot, humid climate and I no longer worry about how I smell. Highly recommended.

I’ve been trying for years to ditch my aluminum-laced Arm & Hammer Unscented Anti-perspirant, but nothing else worked—or it had ingredients like propylene glycol and cornstarch that I’m allergic to. Then I found NOW Foods Solutions Long Lasting Deodorant, and it finally gave me the aluminum-free life I’ve been chasing. Does it leave a little white residue? Sure, but so did my old Arm & Hammer, so no big deal—it’s a trade-off I’m used to. What matters is that this stuff actually works. It keeps me fresh all day without irritation, even when life gets hectic. And knowing I’m no longer putting aluminum or allergy-triggering ingredients on my skin? Total peace of mind. If you’re like me and have been struggling to find a natural deodorant that works and fits your ingredient needs, this is it. A little residue is a small price to pay for finally living aluminum-free and feeling good about it!

I was hopeful with the high number of positive reviews. The ingredients seem good, which is why I bought it, but the actual performance of the product is severely lacking. It's got zinc oxide, which made me feel like I was spreading thick, dry-ish Desitin on my pits. Speaking of the texture, you can't just stick this bar on your skin and expect it to glide like other deodorants. My easiest solution to getting the deodorant on my skin easily was to use the back of my nail and scrape it gently across the surface to get a small amount (say, the size of a lentil), then rub it into my skin with circular motions. At that point, why keep it in bar form at all? They might as well save packaging and cut out moving parts by just putting it in a jar. When I took a shower and put this on right after, I smelled okay for about 2-3 hours. After that point, the smell got progressively worse, so I thought I'd just put some more on. But you can't just reapply more of the product. It had a kind of tacky sensation afterward that you'd have to scrub off with soap and water and a washcloth. Reapplying after this kind of mid-day spot treatment led to worse results. The smell was like a cross between regular body odor and a skunk. Even my husband noticed how bad it was, and he's not very smell-sensitive. So I thought, it was only my second day using the deodorant, maybe it would get better later on if I used it more. No. It got worse every day as I tried to stick with it. I just can't keep doing this. My husband has asked me to throw out the whole thing. It has pretty good ingredients, comparatively, and it seems like a lot of people are happy with it. It didn't work out for me. Better luck next time!

This product has a 96 out of 100 Yuka rating . . . which is excellent. But if you have MCS, it isn't FF because of the ingredients used to make it . . . so it won't work for you.
