Masterful visual storytelling and creative use of character design makes this volume a standout.
Seven Seas’ publication of Spirit Circle was something I was elated about, and they’ve done another excellent job with volume 2. To say nothing of the great translation and presentation, Spirit Circle volume 2 keeps the story of Fuuta Okeya and his past lives rolling in impactful, and oftentimes emotional ways. The format of this story is conducive for big emotional moments. In volume 2, we only get to experience one other past life, but see the consequences of reliving the past take their toll on present-day Fuuta. Volume 2 brings with it a lot of solid character development and some new questions too. And, of course, Satoshi Mizkami’s art and pacing turn this story into gold. It often feels like panels are constructed like shots in a film, and I’m positive there are moments in this volume that will stick with you. He really knows how to express themes like death and love within such a short space.Spirit Circle is a manga that demands your attention, and it’s only getting better.

A breathtaking tale of revenge and reincarnation.
I'm thrilled to say this series is just as emotionally complex and heartwarming as everyone says. I still had my doubts after volume one, but volume two proves the deftness of Mizukami's pen is real as this tale of revenge and reincarnation remains gripping every step of the way. Can't quite articulate it, but this series is really something special. Hopefully the words will come to me after consuming the next two volumes. Glad I bought both volume's two and three at once. The wait for the next volume would've been unbearable. I'm also pleased to see the fan service has remain minimal, even after Rune's introduction.
