It is Christmas Eve and when we came to assemble the backhoe we find that it is missing lots of pieces and has no hardware like screws, bolts etc. To put what we have together. This isn't something we thought we would have to deal with when ordering such an expensive item. We are noe trying to figure out how to explain to our child that what he asked for isn't here.

Il mio bambino di 3 anni si diverte ma ancora non riesce ad usarlo, ottimo acquisto per il futuro, sembra molto resistente, ci giocano addirittura in due, quindi i miei bambini non litigano, quando viene un amichetto di 6 anni si diverte moltissimo, lo usa benissimo e riesce a fare tutto, bello lo consiglio, non facile per persone inesperte da montare, ci abbiamo impiegato circa 3 ore, ma risultato ottimo!

We bought the tractor for our 3 year old son for Christmas. He absolutely loves his tractor just like his dad's tractor. The front loader and backhoe are good in the soft snow, we will see how it works in the summer in sand. First, he needed to get used to the pedaling motion, but now he got the hand of it. You need to assemble some parts of the tractor which takes time but instructions are reasonable well. It took a couple of hours. Unfortunately, the shipping box got destroyed with a huge hole in the box. A piece of the wheel was missing. Amazon wanted me to send the tractor back. I called Kettler USA and their customer service and support is fantastic. Kettler sent me the missing piece for free in three days. Don't be alarmed if only one wheel is actively engaged with the pedaling motion, this is normal, something technical that made sense. I thought my son broke it and disassembled the tractor. Kettler customer service was again great and explained to me the reason. Kettler send me the bold that I broke in taking the wheel off again for free in three days. Great toy, if you have an issue call Kettler directly they are happy to help, do not call Amazon for help. Great customer service by Kettler.

It's very sturdy and very well thought out which is more than you can say for the instructions. I was determined not to go to a video and try and figure it out and I did but really the diagrams are too small for what it is. No pieces were missing but the stickers were a little crinkled in the box (should've been in a hard backed envelope) so I flattened them out for a few days under weighted items first. No issues putting it all together but you might need some help with someone else being present for certain elements. I even had some spares which will come in useful I'm sure. I didn't build it in a hurry as I wanted the stickers to be flattened out, but I reckon, in total it was a couple of hours at least. It isn't just screwing bits together, you will need a screwdriver, spanner and a hammer as a minimum but the sizes are pretty standard. I think my grandson will love it and I wish I was 3!
