These strippers are way over priced for what they do . And I found you have to sort of pry the cable against the blades to have any use with them. They also damages the inner insulation with the blades that aren’t meant to . They also won’t even touch any cable smaller than 2.5 and anything to big there defo gonna cause some damage to the cores . These are just knipex making some extra pennies . They’ve obviously just slapping there name on someone else’s product and selling it for me . Do not be like me and buy them just because they say knipex , waste of £££ . The tradition cpc way of stripping cable is easier and faster , if your after a fancy cable stripper look somewhere else if not stick to a pair of side cutters .

I bought the round cable stripper and that is fantastic and I can’t recommend it enough. So I bought this for twin and Earth (esp low smoke variety). It is completely useless and will not strip it at all and damages the cores! Not sure if it works better with the grey (non low smoke cable) but I doubt it. 5 sparks tried it and all thought it was useless garbage.

Please I’m asking not to waste any of your earned money on this product. I’m electrician and bought this product to make my easier. I’ve not used this crap thing since I bought as the stripper doesn’t work. It’s my own fault for being a lazy man not to send it back and get my full refund on it.

I lost my ergostrip and didn't fancy fawking out another £40 so I went for this cheaper wire stripper instead - I made a mistake in buying this It doesn't work well on anything other than the outer plastic coated sheathing of 13A round cable and even then it rips and doesn't leave a clean cut. When used on rubberised or flat cable it fails hard, ripping and failing to strip the outer sheathing. I gave it away for free to a coworker.

Stripped the first 2.5mm T&E, the outer sheath came off but it also took a nic out of the brown and blue cores exposing the cooper. Just lucky there was enough slack on the cable to pull enough length to strip again with pliers.

Absolute rubbish. Bought this as I suffer from carpal tunnel. Thought it might make it easier stripping cable using this. Big mistake it’s terrible. Blunt after a few uses. Terrible don’t even bother trying it. Doesn’t even make a mark on LSF cable

Cutting blade too long. When scoring down a cable the side blade cut into the inner cores of protective pvc exposing copper. Would not recommend 😕 if I could give this zero out of 10 I would.

Only properly works on 1.5 or 1.0mm. Not good enough for LSF
