This is the second trimmer I got for the 20V Max batteries, and this one actually works as expected - has the power to cut through the growth just as my corded electric trimmer did. The first one I got could not cut anything that was not super thin, was just shaking the thicker branches. Needless to say, I'm very pleased. Oh, and the battery lasts quite a while which is a bonus.

we bought the hedge trimmer to trim around specific plants that attract bees which we all want, and it’s great for jobs that are shoulder height or waist height, but if you’re need to get to a taller area, you have to drag out the ladder and it kinda does a Not quite good of job as a regular pair of hedge trimmers. I like the fact that it’s cordless and I can use it in different areas especially in my raised garden beds but if you have back problems, I would definitely stick with the regular hedge trimmers. It’s very easy to use. The noise level is minimal and it does work well For around shrubs and smaller areas. I’ve noticed that it does cut through a lot of thicker vines and some smaller twigs and branches. It’s very easy to use but, it takes longer to do the job because it’s very small blades. I would recommend it for small jobs, but I definitely would not recommend it for a larger jobs.

I use this often. Easy to store and no.need for extension cords.

Both implements worked great!! Lightweight, up on ladder , no worries My DeWalt battery lated entire time.

Worked great for 1 year but that was it. Not a great addition to your garden tools. You get what you pay for.

Update 2: The company was wonderful about reaching out and sent a 3rd unit. The hedge blade connected easily; unfortunately the clipper blade doesn’t. But I’m happy I can use it for hedging. The DeWalt battery works fine, too. The switch is still difficult and shuts off after 10-15 seconds, but it is useable for how I use it. I increased stars to reflect the great service and that it is partially useable. It’s possible this was just a bad batch and price is certainly reasonable. UPDATE 1: The replacement had same issue with blades not connecting easily. Sent it back. Original Review: It took me about half an hour to get the blade to finally connect (and, yes, I followed the instructions). I almost gave up but it finally connected! The next problem was trying to keep the 2 buttons engaged while using it. It kept turning off and my hand quickly became exhausted (I’m not a big woman, so maybe that’s the issue). So I saw someone appreciated you could release the safety switch and it kept running, but mine would switch off after a few seconds, so that didn’t help any. It did trim my hedge just fine and worked with my DeWalt 20 watt Max battery, but I’m sending it back because of the difficulty getting the blades to attach and the hassle of it switching off. I’ll try a replacement but those problems have to be resolved to make it a keeper.

It's small and cuts precisely-that's what I'd hoped for. I cut a bit with it - it's no Stihl, but will come in handy! Well worth the $
