As a pediatric PT this is a stable item in my bag. This one is great!

I held off buying this item because it costs a lot of money, but I wish I'd bought it sooner. It's much more accurate for judging the head shape of my pediatric patients than "eye balling" it, and it's incredibly easy to use. The gliding action of the calipers is smooth, but with the perfect amount of friction to hold it's reading after moving it away from the baby's head. And the scale is easy to read, so the whole process is quick and easy. I love it.
