Convenience. Necessity. This "Tote Tank" allows you to drain the contents of your RV's Grey Water and Black Water holding tanks into this container and wheel it over to the sewer drain inlet and then dump the contents into the septic/sewer system. It only holds 28 gallons so multiple trips may be necessary. If you can wait and dump at a dump station on your way out of a camp site, then this Tote Tank is not needed. If you have a sewer inlet conveniently located at your camp site, then this tote tank is not needed. However, if you are camping for an extended period of time and a sewer inlet is not handy and you do not want to have to move your RV to the dump station and then back to your camp site, then this tote tank can be a helpful. Q: Can these be hooked up directly to a toilet

It is meant to connect to the sewage (black tank) output dumping lines. In common toilet systems the toilet dumps directly into the black tank. So, I believe that this would not be what your looking for.

The wheel is Ø12'' x 1.75 wide tire. The hub is 2.27 wide with a Ø1/2'' thru hole
