I'm a professional dog walker, and would recommend this leash. Comfortable, and looks to be well built, with good materials. The price was much better than similar competitors. I like the width of the leash compared to other 6' leads. I wish it came in a 5' length.

I never write reviews but felt the need after owning this lead for 7 years to drop in and give it some credit. I bought it when my dog was a puppy. She's now a senior and it is still going strong! The leash is incredibly well made and the clasp still works great despite years of wear and tear. I will tell you, my dog was NOT easy on it either. The traffic handle addition is wonderful in tight spaces and when training. The handles are comfortable on my hands and allow for great control when needed. I loved it enough to buy a second one in case the first one gave out. It never did and now I use it for my second dog!

I just received this leash for my weiner dog. I bought it bc my cousin visited with her dog and I liked the leash. This leash is very sturdy and very easy to use. Perfect leash for training my weiner dog that I adopted at age 2. I especially like the ability to use the short leash when extra control is necessary. The handles are cushiony and comfortable too, which is nice, and the overall durability of the leash is fantastic. As far as durability, only time will tell.

This is a great leash, I volunteer at a local shelter and walk all types of dogs, especially large strong dogs and this leash is solid!! It is well ande great quality and can easily handle large dogs and the handle is so mice it is cushioned and there is a shorter handle for more control when needed

This is the second leash I got for my GSD puppy after having her for about 2 weeks. She was 10 weeks old when I got her and already pulling a lot during walks. It’s very comfortable to hold because of the neoprene. I also like that it has the handles, in case you want to keep your pup on a short leash. I feel like I have better control over my puppy with this leash than with another leash I have, which is the main reason I got it. It’s fairly durable with the grade of nylon. However, nothing is indestructible, as you can see from the photo. My pup has been chewing and this leash has suffered, but it’s still usable. If the manufacturer somehow used an even more durable grade of nylon, I’d give this product five stars. But I know GSDs have strong jaws. Thank you!

Perfect leash for training a very strong English bulldog. I was worried the lower handle would be uncomfortable to hold due to my dog’s short stature, but it works great! The handles are cushiony and comfortable too, which is nice, and the overall durability of the leash is fantastic.

The media could not be loaded. Have been using the leash for almost a week, and love it! Strong and sturdy material. The second handle is really useful to keep the dog close whenever needed. The 'glow in the dark' stitching also works really well at night. And the length is just perfect for everyday normal walking. Only two complaints that I have: from the main (top) handle down to the second one, the 'rope' is quite flexible, because it's only single layer. But from the second handle down to the hook, it's a bit stiff because of the double layer. Hopefully it will become more flexible overtime. And the second thing, the leash often get twisted when the dog is sniffing around. I wish the company will consider making another version, giving a swivel function to the main handle, so it won't get easily twisted. Other than those things, this is a great leash that I would recommend to everyone 👍

This leash is perfect for trail walks (6 ft is longer than you think!) and city walks - you can easily grab the handle closer to the collar. Some benefits of this leash over others:1) The closer handle is ~12" away from the collar. This is the perfect distance for you to reach down and grab the loop in traffic without bending over, and without pulling on your dog. ALSO the extra length makes it great for attaching to an EZ walk harness (in the front).I had previously purchased one (not paying attention to the packaging) from another manufacturer and the closer handle stems DIRECTLY from the collar. Unless you have a large/tall dog, you have to bend down to grab the extra loop, and with a shorter dog like I had, this would be TOO SHORT of a leash.2) It is super spiffy! I love the black with red detail. I got a red collar to match and I think its going to look great.3) The lobster clasp that attaches to the collar or harness is heavy duty - better than typical nylon leash clasps.4) The padding in the loop borders on luxurious - seriously. Having the large loop around my wrist doesn't hurt one bit, and allows you to keep a good grip without worrying about hurting your hands.I've liked all the Primal Pet Gear products I've seen on Amazon so far and plan to purchase from them in the future for my pet needs.
