Perfect for 09 Pilot
This key Fob works perfectly for my 09 Honda Pilot. I had to get the key cut at a mobile locksmith which cost me $30 but getting a reliable Fob that won't fall apart and reducing the size by flipping the key so it fits my pockets better was worth the extra money.

2013 and on Civic's Reed this before buy
Very convenient since you the key blade is not hanging around or damaging your pocket, for those who have 2013 models you must've to buy a donor extra key to take out the chip (2013 model have the chip inside of remote control and welded) because the chip is far away from antenna the car will not recognize the key, after all if you resolve this little issues is a nice buy laso gives a luxury touch to the car

Do not buy unless it’s for the novelty.
The transponder is too far from the ignition so your car will go into anti theft mode and prevent the engine from starting. It’s a cool concept but does not work in practice at all and you waste even more money getting a key cut for the car.

WORKS GREAT! Good and cheap! Didn't think possible. 2012 Honda Pilot
Just completed the full key swap on a 2012 Honda Pilot. Surprised by the feel of the key, feels high end, nice weight and the flip action works well. So far day one and all is working as it should. This is a dummy key blank with empty shell. You will have to swap your working keyless transmitter internals from your factory key and have the new key cut at a locksmith/dealer. My dealer wanted $75 and the locksmith charged $40. Note when doing swap if you are very careful, you can avoid the exploding spring that holds the key under tension (the flipping motion that brings the key to attention) After removing all 3 screws carefully hold the two halves together, using the key hinge as a fulcrum, slowly twist open to reveal the slot for the keyless wireless transmitter. Drop transmitter in and tighten screws. I used a drop of loctite to make sure they all stay in place, added a bit of dry graphite lubricant to the hinge to help with flip action.. After moving the H logo over to new key it looks fantastic, imo better than the factory key.

A little too easy to hit the buttons
3 stars because the battery is already gone out on the fob (less than 1 month) and the key rattles. I glued a small amount of felt to the side of the key well and it no longer rattles. I do not use the electric lock as my door lock motor has gone out so it does not bother me enough to fix it. I do miss the trunk release though. Also the buttons stick out a little too far and they can pretty easily get pressed while in a pocket or purse. I hit the panic button twice before the battery died while getting ready to leave the house. Kinda glad the battery is dead now so I do not have to worry about that part. The flip out key is great and makes my keys much more compact.

06 Honda Accord replacement
This is the perfect replacement for an 06 Accord fob. Mine kept breaking, but the inside like the remote and the security chip were still good. I was able to get a deal at a local store of 2 keys cut for 25 bucks. Then I went home and placed the remote and the chip inside. I would suggest using double-sided tape to hold the security chip down in the slot since I had mine come loose on the one I didn't. Change your battery while you're at it; totally worth it. The key itself is sturdy and way more solid than the original design. Cost at the end for me was about 75 bucks for 2 shells and the keys being cut vs the l getting new keys that were gonna break again. Final tip: of the spring comes loose while installing, turn the key blade clockwise with downward pressure 2 or 3 times to wind down the spring.

Works in 2013 Honda Pilot
This item absolutely works! After going through the original key and two replacement fob casings, I needed something much sturdier. Most of the replacement key fobs on Amazon aren’t even a perfect fit, and I have returned at least two of them. I figured I might as well give this one a shot. After harvesting the original parts and swapping them over, I went to a local locksmith and they charged me about $55 to cut the new key. There they warned me that this probably won’t work because the transponder is too far from the ignition and key. I told him I had read about this, but it seemed like it would work for my car. I’m happy to report it absolutely did and I didn’t end up wasting $55! Highly recommend. I now have a more modern looking option for the car key and I was able to harvest the OEM Honda sticker emblem from the original key and make this one look fully legit!
