Illuminate Bristol Modern And Stylish Fluted Shaped Base Tall Table Lamp With Shade, Black/Copper

First the good news - the lamp is lovely, looks great and I am very pleased with it.Now the bad news - the base of the lamp sits in a polystyrene foam protective filler that sits in the bottom of a not very sturdy box. When I opened the box it looked as though there had been a heavy snowstorm inside! The base had largely disintergrated and had produced thousands of little pieces of poly which stuck to everything - well I'm sure you know what I mean. The packaging for a relatively fragile item (the large shade) was very poor and I'm amazed that it arrived intact. This needs to be looked at. The top of the box was barely sealed with just one strip of sellotape, that had peeled up over 70% of its length. I also didn't arrive the next day as promised (Amazon Prime member). So in essence a really nice lamp but the packaging needs to be sorted.

Stunning. Big lamps for a feature statement. They look more expensive than they are and I though the shade was of decent quality as opposed to some other reviewersUpdate July 2020: still love these lamps, great value but I have replaced the shades as they looked pretty cheap.

These are lovely lamps. A lovely unique design. They add a touch of class to your bedroom.A couple of things to watch out for:We ordered two lamps but the finish of the copper is slightly different on each lamp. One was slightly Matt copper and the other one was shinier. I ordered a replacement and it was a shinier copper so I sent the Matt one back. The Matt copper actually looked nicer.The lamp shade also came shipped quite deformed. You will have to shape the shade again which can be quite tricky to get perfect.Overall a great shade. Would be 5* if the packaging and shipping was perfect.

This is a lovely lamp, with a beautiful brushed copper finish. It has a larger than expected base which then leads to a fluted neck. Elegant and classy it really is a class act. It comes with a black shade which my wife and I wondered about but it suits it well. We loved it so much we bought two! Highly recommended!

Sized somewhere between a desk lamp and a floor-standing lamp this thing is a lot bigger than you might think and you could struggle to find somewhere to fit it unless you plan the design and layout of a room in advance. It takes screw-in blubs, which might be a bit hard to find in the energy-saving variety. It's quite elegant too, meaning it won't fit in with a funky decor. If you have a subdued study or a minimalist bedroom then, stylistically, it will fit, but for a cluttered, busy household you're better off going for something smaller that can more easily integrate into its surroundings.

This lamp was a bit of a gamble as it’s a little pricey for a lamp for me personally but wow it was worth it, looks beautiful and fantastic quality love it so much!

Might be a bit larger than you expect. But for where we wanted fitted well. V nice lamp.

This is a very high quality lamp. The base is a beautiful copper colour (as indicated in the image) and looks and feels like a far more expensive item, worth significantly more than I paid for it.
