Why does the package pictured say 8.5 oz but the description says 5.5oz?

i’m not sure where amazon got this image, but this product on the official website as well as other retailing sites say 5.5 oz

My boxer is 13 and has very few teeth left. Could he chew these as an alternative

One of my 3 chews came with a white residue. Is this okay or normal?
