This popper is designed to pop all kinds of popcorn—yellow, white, and premium brands, such as Orville Redenbacher’s GourmetPopping Corn. Try different brands to find the one you like best. Yellow popcorn generally pops into larger kernels than white. Q: Is the bowl dishwasher safe?

If you have the 04868 popper, wash the cover/serving bowl and lid in warm, sudsy water. Rinse and dry thoroughly. Do not wash in a dishwasher or scour surfaces with steel wool or abrasive cleaners. Q: Do you need oil to pop the corn?

If you have a 04868 popper, oil cannot be used. This pops the corn with hot air. Pouring oil or adding butter or shortening to the popping chamber will destroy the motor. We returned ours, with no issues. Popper how ever kept turning off.
