Did not work for Squirrels but great for cat
I bought this mat to keep squirrels from climbing my bird feeder poles. The squirrels would pull down my bird feeders and break them. I bought this mat hoping it would stop the desrtruction of my bird feeders. I wrapped the mat around the poles and tree branches and I even made a wall with the mat, but this mat did not stop squirrels. Squirrles are used to sharp tree branches so the spikes do not bother them. The squirrels walked over the spikes without any problems. The mat did not work with squirrels, but for our neighbor's cat it is keeping it out of our yard for now. Our neighbor's very large kitty would jump our vinyl fence and jump into our yard to get to the wild birds eating at our bird feeders. The cat would come into our yard early in the morning and sit quietly under plants. I worried it might get one of the birds. So I laid the cat scat mat over the top of the ground where the neighbor's cat jumps into our yard. I woke up early one morning and I heard the cat jumping our fence to get out of our yard. I'm not sure if it actually jumped on the spikes or if the cat saw the spikes from the top of our fence. A few days later, I heard it jump on top of our fence again, but this time it did not jump into our yard. It must have seen the mat was still in place. I'm keeping my fingers crossed this will stop the kitty coming into our yard. It didn't work for squirrels but it seems to be working with our neighbor's cat. For the squirrels I'm looking around Amazon for something else.

These are OUTSTANDING in the garden in the war against chipmunks and squirrels!
I'm tellin' y'all, you have problems with chipmunks and squirrels in your pots and baskets? Install these after you've planted the flowers and you're good to go for the season! It's a pain in the neck to do, but it's better than the frustration and hassle of replanting annuals that have been dug up and cleaning up the mess they've left! And once you've done it, you can pretty much just save the pieces and pins for those pots the next year, so the majority of the time and money is the first year. I also use them in annual beds, around vulnerable perennials and shrubs, and at the edges of some of my beds to deter digging from squirrels and raccoons.

Works
Discovered I had a cat using an area of my garden for a litter box. Looking on line for something to keep cats away I found this and thought I’d give it a try. Seems to work, as I haven’t seen any evidence of the cat for about a week now. The mat itself is smaller than it may appear in pictures. It is only about a foot wide. The area I wanted to use it in was about 30 inches wide, so I had to lay two rows, which nearly covered the area. For this reason, I ordered the longer roll and it was just barely enough. If you have a large area to cover, you’ll have to order a lot, which may become expensive. The mat cut easily with my utility scissors to adjust the fit. However, when I got towards the end of the roll where it was wound more tightly, the plastic cracked when I tried curving it backward to straighten it out. I saw a video for the product where they put it down with mulch on top. I thought that would defeat the purpose of the mat unless you used very little mulch. Therefore, I put the mat on top of my brown mulch and from a distance you don’t really notice it, as the plastic is dark colored.

Works! A bit pricey for plastic, but I'm happy.
Animals certainly won't walk on this! It keeps stray cats off our porch steps and away from our boys on the screened porch. Seems fairly durable, but we'll see how it handles through a southern summer in NC. Easy to install and cut to fit. For plastic, it's pricey, but I'm very happy with it and the solution it's given for our issues.

Cat deterrent or cat aphrodisiac?
We bought this spikey cat deterrent mat to keep our four cats from assaulting our Christmas tree. It works on 3 of our 4 cats however as you can see from our pictures, one of our cats LOVES to lay on the cat deterrent mat! So I suppose we will keep it.

DO NOT BUY!!!!!
DO NOT BUY! Do not buy if your dog is a chewer. Our sweet 6 year old girl chewed up some of this fencing and it KILLED HER. We spent thousands of dollars trying to figure out what was wrong with our girl to find out this fencing destroyed her intestines. This fencing is NOT strong, it’s brittle and it falls apart easily. DO NOT BUY! Keep your dog safe it is a choking HAZARD!!!!

GOODBYE, NEIGHBOR'S CATS!
My neighbor's cats are always crappin' behind my bushes. (They also climb my trees, house and fence.) Although I've tried to address the issue, she refuses to be a responsible pet owner and let's them run the neighborhood night and day. I've tried citrus peels and any other humane, eco-friendly deterrent but they wouldn't stop. I find this effective and cost-friendly. Haven't seen a cat since! I purchased a few of these. Just roll and adhere with the enclosed stake things. My neighbor should be footin' the bill but I'd rather not try to reason with a crazy cat lady. I don't see these being long term-use simply because the Texas heat will eventually make them brittle. Also, leaves gather on top of them but luckily we have a leaf blower.

It works!
Nothing I did could get my dog to stop digging up the sprinklers in the backyard, so I gave these a shot. They worked! I cut pieces around the sprinklers so they could still pop up but covered his dig holes. He hasn't even tried to dig around them and they have been in place for 3 weeks now. My only complaint is it doesn't come with enough stakes. (Probably because I cut several small pieces and didn't lay it down as one solid piece) I was able to find them at Lowes so I could finish the project.

Tapis

Ils vont rouiller fort probablement. Le tapis est bon

A Good Deterrent
A very helpful deterrent to add to our other sonic deterrent. In the beginning, the Tom cat reduced the amount of deposits it made where we placed it. However, now Autumn is approaching we need to keep removing leaves blown onto the spiked matting. The leaves cover the spikes and can create a wonderful leaf cushion for the Tom cat to relieve himself on.

Fácil de burlar
La verdad mu perro lo burla muy fácilmente se necesitaría tapizar toda el area y la verdad no luce agradable a la vista, lo que si me gusto es que un gato que rondaba por mi jardín ya no se pudo acercar
