Q: will this sweeper work over 3/4 rock with out pickup up all the rocks

Yes you can attach it so that you are at different heights BUT if rock is uneven you will probably still pick up some.

Q: My land is really bumpy, will this still work, or does it need a pretty smooth, level ground?

Bumpy or small hills? It does best on level ground but I can still go slow and it will pick up stuff. If you go too fast it's not heavy enough to stay on the ground and what you've picked up will go flying. I have some small rolling hills and they are a pain but it works. We are still working on leveling some mole tunnels but it still works there. Just go slow. This is big.

Q: What are the gears made out of...metal or plastic?

The pinion gear is metal the gear on the inside of the wheel assembly is fiberglass plastic.
