I BOUGHT THIS FOR MY YOUNGER SON WHO IS EXACTLY WHO I THOUGHT OF WHEN I SAW IT!
THE COMPLETE COOKBOOK FOR YOUNG CHEFS: 100+ RECIPES THAT YOU'LL LOVE TO COOK AND EAT! I bought this TERRIFIC COOKBOOK for my younger son since I realize it's target group it's marketed for is a much younger audience. My memories of his buying that horrible box Macaroni & Cheese being his go to meal that he bought a fancier brand, but he has no experience with too many kitchen skills, and I had a look at it and it is very impressive with it being very informative not only with recipes, but a vast amount of other helpful items for the very beginner with it is perfect for him. I buy a ton of books myself, and that I just happened to discover this is pure serendipity. I bought it at least a couple of months ago so I just remember it having been for much younger kids, but I remember how much value it would offer someone who is newly on their own since he has a serious girlfriend that probably cooks since I think she is going to be a keeper so I still loved this enough that it was a purchase I couldn't resist with him in mind. I don't always check reviews when buying my own books, I am pretty sure that I did check the reviews for this with them being remarkably high, and I think it was on sale, but I still would have bought even if it wasn't. I really don't know if he likes it since I forgot about buying this since I am probably one of the most highest spending customer when it comes to buying books here since I love to read and I have a daily habit of buying books that I am dying to read from a couple of years ago. I always buy the Editor's picks on Amazon since I buy most of what they each decide is their choice every month, which I still buy my own choices that is either most of the book clubs choices, and tons that I either love the Author, or my own that I have so many that I just don't have the time to read most, but I think that I buy them mostly every day. I hope that beginner cooks that this is one that I hope if you are new with little to zero experience, I do hope you buy this even though it is marketed for younger people that this is one I would still buy since it has value in various kitchen tools and will be very helpful.

Fun, Beginner-Friendly Cookbook That Makes Cooking Easy and Exciting for Kids and Teens
The Complete Cookbook for Young Chefs: 100+ Recipes that You’ll Love to Cook and Eat is honestly a really good starter cookbook if you’re trying to get kids or beginners comfortable in the kitchen. The recipes are written in a super clear, step-by-step way, so it doesn’t feel confusing or overwhelming. It has a nice mix of recipes too—breakfast, snacks, meals, and desserts—so there’s a little bit of everything. Most of the ingredients are basic and easy to find, which makes it way more practical instead of complicated. What I like most is that it doesn’t just throw recipes at you, it actually teaches basic kitchen skills along the way like measuring, mixing, and safe cooking habits. Overall, it’s a really solid beginner cookbook that makes cooking feel fun instead of stressful, and it’s perfect for kids or anyone just learning their way around the kitchen.

Perfect Cookbook for Young Chefs
Our 11-year-old daughter absolutely loves this cookbook. She's already made several of the recipes and enjoys flipping through it to pick out what she wants to try next. The recipes are fun, and the instructions are written in a way that's easy for kids to understand and follow. I also appreciate that it includes helpful cooking tips and techniques for beginners, so it's teaching more than just recipes. It's a great way to build confidence in the kitchen while encouraging independence.

Best tween cookbook!
Bought this for my 12 year old daughter as a Christmas gift and she LOVES making all the recipes! The first day she bookmarked just about every page because she wanted to try so many recipes. The chocolate chip cookie recipe was even better than Tollhouse. The recipes are easy to follow and she has made many of them several times now, like the peach cobbler, smoothies, fruit & yogurt parfait, and so many more. It’s beautifully designed, colorful photos, and such a great value! Tons of recipes, lots of variety (although her favorites are the deserts and breakfast foods) but she’s been inspired to cook for the whole family. Definitely a great gift!

Instant hit
My son was showing a little interest in cooking so I started looking for a kids cookbook for him and none in my local stores selections seemed very helpful. So when i searched online I found this book and the moment it arrived he was flipping through it listing off recipes he wanted us to try. It’s very easy to read, it breaks the processes down so both adults and kids can both learn and follow them. There’s also a wide variety of recipes and these aren’t just the standard kid snacks and food projects, these are legitimate meals and snacks that a young chef can learn. The photos help and there’s also little facts and hints scattered around in a very colorful and engaging way, I couldn’t have asked for a better book to introduce the skill of cooking with.

Amazing cookbook!! Makes difficult-looking recipes super approachable!!!
I got this cookbook for a family member that was about 12 or 13 at the time that I bought it and now she has grown up and absolutely loves cooking!! I’m not saying this book had much of an effect on on that but this is the perfect cookbook for that in between age where you want recipes, but want achieveable, realistic recipes that you are able to make yourself and doesn’t take too many overwhelming or confusing instructions. It truly makes recipes approachable and explains everything you need to know about every step, along with photo(s) of the final result and little extra helpful tips that can help you to success!! Would definitely recommend for little ones who are interested in cooking, or even for yourself! I love this cookbook, personally, and I am super glad I bought it!!

Big hit with my niece! She and my sister have cooked a few items from here and been happy with all of them, and they both like how it explains the process of cooking throughout. It's a great introduction to cooking for kids!

Good
We’ve used this cookbook a few times now and overall it has been a nice addition to the kitchen. The layout is very clear, the recipes are simple to follow, and the pictures are bright and engaging, which makes it especially appealing for young children. So far we’ve baked cookies and brownies from it, and both turned out really well. My daughter enjoyed being part of the process, and I think the way the instructions are written makes it easy for kids to join in without getting overwhelmed. It’s not the most comprehensive cookbook — there are more detailed ones out there — but for introducing children to baking and getting them excited about helping in the kitchen, it works really well. The quality of the book is good, the photos are high resolution, and the recipes feel accessible. If you’re looking for a first cookbook to get kids involved, this is a solid choice.
