what material can each type bit be used with? There's no documentation for a beginner user.

I have successfully tested these on aluminum, wood, acrylic, brass, and copper

are the spiral bits spiralup or spiraldown? thanks.

By the picture they look like they are UP CUT bits.

Can I use 1/4" shanks in the machine?

I haven't personally used a 1/4" shank, but I have seen people who claim this is possible.
