This is a fun snuffle mat with plenty of little places to hide treats. The stitching seems to be pretty sturdy, but the main material is a soft felt like material. My dog is a heavy chewer, if your dog is also then don't use this mat unsupervised. It won't last long under destructive behavior. But even with my pups craving for carnage he sniffs away finding all the little treats, and then I take the mat away. This has worked great so far, and the mat is machine washable which is a big plus. I also don't let him use it when his nails are sharp. But when he does use it, he has a blast.

Honestly, my pup hates eating just boring ol' kibble right out of the dish. She much prefers to have kibble stuffed in kong toys, or better yet, on this new snuffle mat! She LOVES it. She sits there and anxiously waits for me to hide the kibble in all the little slots and pockets. I prefer this snuffle mat to others because of the additional pockets and flaps of cloth that you can hide treats and kibble under (in addition to the "grass" looking portion of the mat). This mat can be tied to furniture so it doesn't slip around, and also has padding underneath. I've thrown it in the wash at least 5 times now and comes out perfectly, no rips or stains yet and had it over a month now. I will note that my dog is not an obsessive chewer, and has not tried to tear this item up; however, I would definitely remove snuffle mat after usage, especially for dogs who are more prone to destroying toys. All in all I say this is a great quality product that my puppy thoroughly enjoys, and takes her about 10 minutes to finish off her food (also giving me 10 minutes to do whatever I need to do around the house). Win win!

This is a great tool in the fight against boredom! Used by my 15 year old blind dog, it is also fun to watch! I use tiny dry dog food bites, wee treats broken into pieces, and she goes crazy for it! She persists, and finds all the hidden treats, she is not slowed down by rootling under the different flaps and pockets, and it keeps her busy and engaged. I have washed it, it came out fine, fluffy and perfect. It has a non skid backing that should be used under rugs- it doesn’t budge! I am amazed at the simplicity and usefulness of this mat! I also ordered a circle one- but this is a good sized rectangular mat that my dog thinks is good as a napping spot too. Perfect in every way!

This is wonderful for keeping those active pups entertained. With the weather changing and being extremely cold lately, our pup hasn’t been getting his regular 2-3 walks per day so this actual gives him some fun play time and keeps him happy. Able to hide a lot of treats and gets the dog thinking! My pup gets really excited and loves flipping it all over the place.

This was a great investment. My Frenchie loves it. It really slows him down when he's eating and keeps him occupied for at least 20 - 30 minutes. I haven't washed it yet, but it is supposed to be machine washable. It's been durable so far, it's got a lot of different places to hide the kibble, and it rolls up and ties for storing. It's a good value for the money and my dog really enjoys it.

Wonderful made and great quality. My dog loves to search for her food and it keeps her occupied for 20 minutes or so. I love that it can be rolled up too

I ordered a large for my blind, senior rescue. Kept her busy for about 30 minutes. Exactly the mental enrichment she needed. Definitely recommend.

When my dog sees me unroll her “magic carpet,” she goes nuts! I hide tiny treats in all of the varied soft puzzles. We get a kick watching her using her sense of smell and cognitive skills to furrow out the treats. It’s simple, but it occupies her, gives her a chance to enjoy small treats, and switch things up every so often. Dogs tend to dislike changes in routine, but we only do this once or twice a week as a surprise. I think that adds to the excitement and fun for her. If it were out all the time, it would just become a boring place to check to see if any treats were left behind! My friend’s dog loved it too. I would buy this as a gift for small dog owners, and I would buy it again. Woof!

The fluffy part of the mat is great, the other half not so great. Because they use a thin fleece material, the layered pieces do not stand up to his scratching and his bite. Might not buy it again. The pup is a mini-labradoodle.
