This is the best product ever. If you know anyone that is having challenges with the Lord toilet seat, this is the best product to use. I bought another one for my other toilet as well.

Larger than expected. Padding on the seat would be an improvement. However, it works great!! It does exactly what it's supposed to do.

Well made and very sturdy. The flat surface makes it easier for the person to get on and off the seat. Side bars are sturdy and allow the person to securely support themselves.

So often the biggest issue one has is just the strength to get back on their feet after sitting or laying down. For years they've made chairs and beds to help get up, and now with this toilet seat lift, one doesn't even need to worry about getting back on their feet when using the rest room.My elderly mother lives with with us in her own little section of the house. She has her own room and bathroom, and we've got get a recliner that lifts her to standing position to get in and out of it. But the bathroom has from time to time been a struggle. She ends up needing to use the sink counter top to brace onto to lift herself up, to get into a standing position again. And recently she had a sore shoulder, so wasn't able to even use the arm she needed to, to get up from sitting down. So this toilet seat lift as been a huge help with the whole situation. This power rise assist toilet seat is nice for the price; it is not difficult to install and functions beautifully. The unit is big but does not overwhelm the appearance of the bathroom. The handles are sturdy and provide stability during the ride up, as well as security when you stand and separate from the seat. The remote is as simple as it gets, as you either press up or down, so nothing complicated about it. The seat travels both directions at a slow controlled speed, so nothing to surprise you during the trip. It easily wipes down clean as part of the normal bathroom cleaning routine. It really works great!My reason for four stars is a quality control issue, as you can see in my photos both side edges were not completely fit to the base correctly, and/or the edges are deformed. Whatever the case may be, and despite the unit functioning as described, it is always a bit disappointing to receive a relatively expensive product that is shipped to you in less than perfectly assembled condition.
