Craftsman Premium Rubber Garden Hose, 100ft. X 5/8. Inch

Product states "Limited Lifetime Warranty." Product failed at the two year mark and leaks where hose meets fitting. Hose is wintered indoors, kept on a reel, and very well cared for. Craftsman website states "To obtain the warranty coverage stated below, return a defective product with proof of sale to the retailer from which it was purchased." Seller "First Choice Department Store" is the retailer from which I purchased the hose and First Choice Department Store refused to honor warranty and referred me back to Craftsman. Craftsman will not help as First Choice Department Store is not an authorized retailer. So this hose purchased here may as well have no warranty whatsoever. Buyer beware.

DO NOT BUY THIS HOSE! I bought this hose because it said it was the same as the old one that came with my house. Unfortunately their quality is horrible now. You'd be better off buying a cheap hose from walmart (and I hate walmart). The only thing the two hoses have in common is the name stamped on them and their color.This hose was incredibly thin. It leaked at both ends. It constantly kinked in multiple places. It was infuriating trying to use a 100 ft hose with multiple kinks in it.We actually returned it several months ago and have yet to receive a refund or a replacement. Do not do business with them and especially do NOT buy this hose. It's a complete waste of money and they STOLE OUR MONEY.

... is long gone. Hose arrived with hose end not crimped. Easy to miss until you turn on the water and it flies off. That's what I get for trying to save a trip to the store and being duped by a defunct name brand.

These hoses are the best. I already had another 100' and 50', and needed another 100' hose. Yes, they can kink, but a simple flip of the hose undoes the kink (no need to walk all the way down to the kink) completely undoes it, with no damage whatsoever. These are by far the easiest hoses to coil, though yes, you'll want to try to coil them the same direction each time, for the easiest time of it (like any hose). The only downside is that there is a little black residue on your hands during the first few uses. However, after dragging them around the yard a few times, that goes away. Despite being heavy duty rubber, they really are easy to drag around the yard compared to most other hoses. I have a much older commercial rubber hose, and it seems about twice as heavy as this one, while not being anywhere near as kink resistant or easy to coil. The lifetime warranty really gives peace of mind, though I doubt I will need it.

I bought this hose ten months ago thinking I would never need to buy another. It was stored indoors all winter but has multiple pin hole leaks this spring. I bought this thinking the warranty would be valid, but now know that's not the case. Very disappointed.

Best hose ever. Hands down. I have bought dozens of garden hoses in my life. I used to think a hose was just a hose, but not anymore. I would get the cheap ones at Costco, Lowes, The Home Depot, Walmart, etc... and they would last a couple or three years (maybe four or five if lucky) and then back to the store for a new one. Later, I realized the importance of a quality hose so I started buying "contractor grade" hoses and Goodyear rubber hoses and I realized a rubber hose is the ticket. They last longer and are easier to maintain and repair.But all that has changed now that I have found the Craftsman rubber hose with a LIFETIME GUARANTEE. I would never return it if I was at fault by running over it with a lawnmower or did something stupid to damage the hose. But, if it were to wear out from normal use, I rest easy knowing that I can get a replacement. Garden hoses, to me, are important now that I am older. I will never buy any other hose than Craftsman rubber hoses. Worth every penny.

There is a big difference between a rubber hose and a vinyl hose. I didn't realize that until I got this hose. This thing works great. It is flexible, it doesn't kink, and it rolls up on the hose reel well, I had a green vinyl hose before that I made last 10 years, but it was painful. I kept chopping the last 3 feet off the hose to eliminate blowouts. I had to replace the ends. It didn't handle very well at all. This Craftsman hose is so much better. I can't speak to longevity as I've only had it this summer, but if it only lasted half as long I think I would be happy.

The hose is well made and I use it almost everyday to water my front and back yards; trying to get more grass to grow. Unfortunately, the hose I received had a cut in it. I didn't want to return the hose because the cut can be fixed. I'm happy overall with the hose, which replaces another hose I've had for years. Because it's made of a thicker rubber than conventional hoses, it should be more durable but it's also heavier and not as easy to manouver as a conventional hose.

When shopping for a new hose read different reviews and this one kept getting overall good ones so bought. It is very thin walled, constantly gets numerous kings and after only 4 months of light use has sprung a leak. I wouldn't give it a single star but you're forced to select at least one. I'm now very dubious about reviews.
