I see reviewers make reference to audible warning. Does that mean it provdes an increasing tempo of beeps as you approach the torque you've set?

The beep will increase temp as it reaches the target torque limit. Once it is reached, it will provide a constant beep sound to notify it has reached.

Can I use it as a torque wrench?

Yes. As long as you have the room for it. A little clumsy for torque over 100 ft. lbs.

The manual says the power button should not be pressed with torque applied. I accidentally did that. Will it cause accuracy problem?

I am pretty sure that the device on start up takes a reading from the strain gauge in the device and whatever that reading is defines that value as zero torque applied. Same thing with digital scales in the kitchen, on startup they determine what zero mass/weight is. Whatever reading/torqued applied will be wrong, if a load was applied on startup.Once off power the device on with no load and I believe you will be in business again.

I don't see in specs the accuracy percentage?

This ad is innaccuate. The minimum setting for this product is 14.8 ft p or 20nm - Not 4 ft pounds. If you want to get a reading less than 20nm you need another product. However the product itself looks robust and professional.

This is a great device. It is far easier to use than my click style torque wrench because the beeps let me know when I am approaching the correct torque setting. I've used it about fifteen times in the past month, working on both my own and a friends motorcycle. Great device and recommended for do-it-yourself mechanics.

I bought this based on all the existing recommendations. The Torque Test Channel sort-of-reviewed a competing digital torque gauge product from a no-name brand and said it was good; this ACDelco version was only a little more expensive and labeled with a recognized brand. I have confidence in the torque readings and they match my click-type torque wrench pretty closely. The unit itself feels pretty durable. Uses lithium coin-cell batteries, which is smart for cold-weather function. Can't speak to battery life as I just bought it.
