My concerns were...
I was a bit apprehensive about this purchase, in fact, I ordered it then canceled the order researched it some more then re-ordered. :-PMy concerns were:1) Would the triggerguard overlay take up too much real estate from the grip - No2) Would the unit activate on its own - Nope3) What if I don't want the light to come on, can press the button and it goes out or, if grip sense is off you press to enable4) What are the options? Light only, Light and Laser, Light and Laser(pulse), Laser Only, Laser only (Pulse)5) Does the grip sense left on kill the battery, yes reduces it over time 6 months will drain battery to half life (I am told)6) Holster? Who makes holsters for it? I found that several companies do but do not list it on line, you need to call them.Wright Leather, MTR Leather7) It looks huge , It does in the photos but in real life this is rather compact8) Light does not look very bright, it is more than adequate in a dark environment. At night it will illuminate my whole hallway, my living room and the width is decent so not like looking through a telescope.I hope this helps, I bought it here on Amazon so if there was an issue with it a return would not be a problem. It arrived well packed in 2 days with no issues, alignment is near spot on right out of the box.Current draw with Grip Sense activated without laser lit is 1 ma with laser on solid 27ma (both test without light active)

light or laser comes on then you can shut off not good for keeping your location a secret
I gave it a three lost one point for not being clear on operation the other point was for the operation , the light or laser whatever option you choose comes on automatically when pick up firearm and then you can shut it off with button on either side , not good for keeping your location a secret has no external shut off switch to keep this from happening a no go in my book I returned it and got the crimson trace brand little more money but worth it to me to be able to turn on light when and if I want

It's on when you pull out your pistol.
This Lasermax Gripsense light/laser is an excellent light/laser and is worth every penny we spent on it. It has a sensor so when you grip the pistol, the light/laser automatically turns on. You don't have to mess with an extra step of turning it on as is the case on some other lasers. You can also change the mode on the light/laser which I find quite handy. It fits well, it's construction is very sturdy and durable. Glad I bought this for my wife's 9mm pistol. Excellent product!

Seems decent!
Seems like a good light! My only problem with it is the battery cover is pretty cheap and seems like it could break pretty easy!I have only had it a short time so we will see about the longevity of it!

Esau to instal and adjust
Be sure to sight it in within a reasonable encounter distance. And practice with it. This is great solution for most provided they practice with it so they know where the bullet will impact when engaging a target at different distances. Adequate light but would be better if stronger.

Battery cover is flimsy
Laser is VERY bright. Light is not terribly bright, but just bright enough (can see 7-8 ft in pitch black), so it's nice to have. My biggest gripe with this is that the battery housing cover is held in by flimsy plastic pieces that broke off when putting the battery cover on for the first time, rending the laser/light unusable. I had to use a ziptie and some ducktape to fix the cover back on. For such a pricey mod, I am disappointed. Followed the directions and everything. :(

Fixed sensitivity issues - electrical tape on trigger guard to press down pressure sensor
for whatever reason, the sensitivity of the pressure sensor had diminished and I thought the unit was defective. Upon closer inspection the pressure sensor on the inside of the plastic area where it is activated was loose. I simply put a few layers of electrical take on the trigger guard in order for that component to be pushed down towards the plastic area from the inside so the unit would activate reliably when touched on the outside. Build quality could have been better for a product of this price.

Works great
Works as designed, was a little disappointed in how cheap the plastic looked but overall good product. Downside is trying to find a nice holster to fit with it mounted.
