Overall: expensive but worth it for what you get. Exactly what I wanted, I had previously tried a blink doorbell but there was such a bad delay in triggering it would only ever capture people walking away. This is fantastic, It's responsive, great quality, the mounting wedge is great as it puts it at the perfect angle and means you can mount on the doorframe instead of the door, and it seems very well built. I went for the 2nd generation wired doorbell because i didn't want to bother with batteries. I live in the UK, so had to order it from America, and for setup I had to also purchase a siemens 4AC3214-0 to be able to meet the power requirements but was a very straightforward process to set up especially if you already have a doorbell that you can use the existing wires. Picture quality is great, zoom is great, price is on the expensive side especially when you factor in the transformer as well but as a result you get in my opinion the best there is at the moment. Especially with the features of nest aware like being able to differentiate between animals, people and saved people (IE "Sam is at the door" is pretty cool). So if you're willing to spend the money, I highly recommend.

Terrible. Small viewing angle, even light rain destroys the visibility. Dust is the devil for this kit. Awful in the sun. Definitely not worth the price. Poor image quality.

Bottom line: I love this doorbell. I replaced my 1st generation Nest doorbell with the wired 2nd generation one. Pros: I definitely noticed the improved picture clarity- pretty amazing. I like the expanded vertical view too. I was also finally able to get rid of the Nest app and only use the Home app (I have two Nest cameras on Home). I did not have to update the transformer (I did that for the earlier version). Cons: The horizonal view is shortened by 15 degrees and that is very noticeable. I miss the more expanded view. Installation was a NIGHTMARE. There is no room for the wires and the 2nd generation adds about a 3" connector that just added to the problem. My house is older & brick so the existing doorbell wire is older and the space is limited. Plus, unless it is installed on a perfectly flat base, the screw sticks up just a tiny bit which will stop the doorbell from sliding on the metal attachments (also confusing). The screws stripped. Hot mess to get them out. Bought new screws...you get the picture. So while it says you can use the old holes (the ones for the 1st generation), I couldn't. I finally got it on, then had a hard time tightening the tiny screw into the top of the doorbell. Think limited space. Bottom line: other than the installation & the slightly narrower view, I really do like this doorbell. Also, some reviews complain about the camera cutting out. I've not had that issue at all (I did recently upgrade my internet router to a newer Netgear set which works great).

I've been quite happy with my decision to use this nest doorbell. It catches everything outside my door, even people walking by. There is a bit of installation to do, but it's not super hard for a handyman like me. I'm glad we got this on sale, but the features do justify the price tag. Once set up, I know all the coming and going of the people in my house, I get notified for every package dropped off, and even if someone brings a package inside. Voice seems really clear, while there is a slight lag when communicating through it.

Don't buy this product in India. This product needs an adapter and seller doesn't provide. Seller have no clue how to connect this product using wired option. He forces to use battery option, and shared numerous videos based out of US (110V) instead of India (240V). When I wanted to return the product, Amazon raised query with Seller (as its third party) even after I told that already contacted Seller and he is of no use. And they assure me to return after 48 hrs in spite of return date passed, as I raised the return request before the last day of return. Now Amazon is not helping to return as well.
