I have long thick hair, and this winter season I lost a lot of hair until I found this product. I applied very little amount(1-2 drops) with my fingertips into my scalp and massaged in before brushing thoroughly once/twice a week after washing my hair. Although I still have some breakage from tangling and minor hair loss, it's dramatically less than before. It's helping to smooth my hair, so I'm seeing less loss and breakage and slightly less tangles. The natural herbal smell is also nice.
