Zab’s is a winner!
This Datil pepper hot sauce is great! Heat-wise, It’s comparable to Trappey’s Bull hot sauce made from red jalapenos without the sharp vinegar tangyness that Trappey’s has…at least to my tastebuds. The flavor is on the fruity side and pairs well with a lot of different foods. My favorite use is on breakfast burritos made of potatoes, sausage and scrambled eggs, but it’s equally delicious on pizza too. Their Datil pepper hot honey is fantastic too…great on fried chicken sandwiches! I originally ordered their 3 piece gift set, which contains the original Datil pepper hot sauce, the St. Augustine sauce and the hot honey. I’m not too keen on the St. Augustine sauce, but like I mentioned the hot honey and original sauce is great, and I’ll continue to reorder them when my stock gets low. Love that it comes in this two-pack. It is a bit on the pricey side, but I don’t mind all that much…it’s worth it!
